I always loved the US Post Office and the people who worked there. This has come to an end. Really, the WORST MANAGED US Post Office in this area, and maybe even the state or greater.I understand during COVID things were rough, but this isNOW in 2024.Recently took a Priority Mail package to the post office at2 PM.We are lifting the heavy, large package up to the counter. The guy says "What can I do for you?"I reply " We have a prepaid Priority Mail package" to scanand get a receipt. He fiddles, scans, prints receipt.I ask, will it first go to Lancaster or Harrisburg, since I knowMyerstown packages go to one of these two areas for furtherprocessing, depending upon size. I just forgot which office(Lancaster or Harrisburg) gets the larger packages. He answers "It goes where the mail goes, Sir".What kind of answer is this???Then the next afternoon I check tracking and item is stillat the Post Office, never put on the nightly truck! And I paid for Priority Mail!He looks like a guy who just got out of the Army who goes wherethe Army goes.Other problems with this Myerstown post office.1. When they hold your mail and I come to pick upa. I am given someone else's mail ORb. I am give a small portion of my mail. I tell themI have more mail held. They say NO. I tell themI checked USPS Informed Delivery, and go backand check for more. After 5 minutes he comeswith the rest of the mail.c. When I ask for delivery of mail to be held, they keepdelivering packages which after 2 weeks are all soakedand damaged.d. When its raining, all of our mail is soaked when deliveredinto our mailbox on our roofed porch. I guess theydo not close the mail bag when walking during rainyweather.

If I could I would leave o stars.Terrible service. Our delivery driver doesn't stop at our home daily. I often have mail to send out and just sits in the box for several days until he stops. I've seen him drive by my house several times without stopping or going to my neighbors and turning around and skipping my house altogether.I have called to complain several times and nothing has been done about it.Today I go out to check my mail and instead of it being in the mailbox my letters and packages were thrown on the ground outside my door.

Worst post office I’ve ever dealt with. Every single package handled through USPS I’ve had to track down for the last two years since I’ve moved to this area. I always receive a notification stating package was delivered and left in mailbox or front porch, when in fact it was never delivered to begin with. I was told when they receive the package from Amazon, they’ll scan at as delivered to my home, when in fact it never was. The best advice I can give anybody moving into this area, pay extra for a different delivery service if you can. USPS will either lose every single one of your packages or you’ll be waiting an extra 3-4 days for them to track it down. An investigation needs to be initiated at this branch.

To all who are concerned,I know that this is not really the app for writing reviews on jobs, but thought I'd share some stuff since the person that I know cannot. He wants to, believe me. First off, they work this man seven days a week. Management says things like "You are going to have to choose which is more important. Work or family?". They do not care about rest. They do not care about wether he will have a day off every week. All they care about is 100 % commitment to this job. Trust me, they will work you till you're in the ground. I mean you'll retire with possibly health problems. Let's hope you even retire from here before you die.Additionally, you may be wondering "what about accommodations for church?" Well they do have them, but only for certain people. He's been trying to go to church for a while now. Part of this issue is because they cannot keep anybody, but still most jobs accommodate. They are supposed to anyways. Here's another crazy one. There's unfair treatment here. When the person that I am talking about first starting working at the post office he didn't receive proper training. In fact, one of his managers from this office were very rude to him. He just got done telling me how the new people that just started receive help if they are not finished at the end of the day. He did not receive any help though. How about going to the doctor? Well, they have already let him go to the doctor, but many appointments he doesn't go to because they told him that he could get written up, even though he has a health issues that requires going. Oh, here's another one. This worker holds his pee and poop in all day (at least sometimes) because he's afraid to get fired.

I had to ship something to a friend on another continent - the process was super smooth, and the woman who assisted was very nice and helpful! Every part was quick and easy.

If you want home/work balance working for USPS you are not going to get it. At least not for your first 90 days. Do not look forward to going to church because they do not care. If you have a serious possibly life threatening health condition don’t count on them giving you the day off for an appointment. If you value family don’t get a job for the usps because for at least 90 days they work you to death. Your work week will consist of working possible 14 hour shifts 7 days a week. Regulars get to take off whenever they want. You’ll be sleep deprived as well. I know all of this because someone that I know that works here. They tell him to work faster although he’s trying the best that he knows how to. He comes home dozing off in the car while driving. He doesn’t even have time to go grocery shopping. The training is not that good either from what I’ve gotten from him. There are higher paying jobs that actually care a bit more about people’s well being. They even have people working for free. Don’t take my word for it. Go get a job there and rest it out. He goes into work with no pay for the first hours to get the mail out. To any customers out there that say mail carriers are lazy or wonder why they make mistakes these people are over worked. They are far from lazy.

Avoid this post office at all costs. The post master is miserable, unhelpful and unbelievably rude. If she has to come out of her office for any reason it’s the end of her world. I have made multiple complaints about multiple packages just disappearing when I have drop off receipts, packages never being delivered with video proof, the office closing 30 minutes to an hour early everyday, and many of the employees.

Beware. Cindy, the post master is dishonest. She gives false information. I had a package pick up request and video of the postman picking up my package. The postman did NOT scan my package when he took it and there's no proof on their end that it was mailed. As I have said, the whole thing is on video. This was a week and a half ago. When I called, Cindy took my tracking number and assured me she could see the package was in transit. After a day or so and still no tracking update, I dug a but further. I called the 800 number and they have no proof that it is tracking and I filed a report. I stopped at another post office to see if they could give me any information. They also had no proof that it's tracking and told me if they can't see tracking then she could not have. Cindy also told me priority mail is 2 weeks behind. I was assured that while it was behind at Christmas, it is no longer behind schedule to that degree. She kept insisting her carriers are competent. I understand that it's a hard job and those carriers have a lot on their plate. If my package would be in transit, it would show a scan for sure when it got to another postal location because they would have to scan it. The package is lost and if it's not found, I'm opening a claim and the Myerstown Post Office will be responsible. I would have just appreciated from Cindy a "hey, I'm sorry." Not pass the blame off and act like it's been shipped out. There is no way she can tell that but she sure wanted me to think that she could.

I have had multiple bad experiences with this (Myerstown)Post Office. First, our mail was not delivered to our box for over a month. Other neighbors brought our mail that was put in their box. We went to the PO multiple times over this issue with promises of a call back that happened 1 time out of 10 visits and a letter. I began to think the carrier or carriers were incompetent or illiterate. Then we ordered a product that Amazon had delivered and was confirmed the PO received. The PO said they didn’t know where it was and why didn’t we just order another one. We had paid for the first order and they suggested we order another one. I thought, maybe the carrier, who has so consistently put our mail in someone else’s box should pay for it, or they should take it out of the local budget. This week, 2 items that I am told were delivered, we have not seen. We did not get them. I am beyond angry at their inability to handle these errors. If they had to pay for their mistakes, they might be more careful. These items went to the PO. What did they do with them?

Delivery Amazon package down by the road! So much for doing your job correctly! Please place package on porch like Amazon pays you to do so!!
