I can't say enough good about the care, compassion, and empathy they provided early this morning when we had to put our Zoey to sleep. They did everything they could to make us and our dog as comfortable as possible in a very stressful time.

My dog was hit by a car. I did not meet one person there who wasn’t caring and compassionate. Not cheap but I have my dog next to me!

AVET is by far the worst vet/fraud you could avoid at all cost, literally!!!!! X-rays previously paid for and recommended by Latrobe animal clinic. Paid 250$ to get referred to the only place to fixed, already got x-rays and diagnosed from Latrobe clinic and waited 4 hours to be told it would be $2,000.00 to “fix” actually “fix” it was like a high class shady mechanic shop. Left with a $550 bill, 4 hour wait to get rude service and un-executable care and a scam. If anyone loves their pet please go somewhere else!!!!! Please read and with making the discussion to put my 14 year old dog down, making it over money is idk fill in the “A” in vet in Monroeville, pa!!!!!!!!! Look at the lobby and it tells it all. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! Horrible!!!!!

I brought my cat here in the middle of the night with an allergic reaction. The staff was extremely helpful and empathetic during the whole process, and I was very pleasantly surprised by how affordable everything was! I was expecting at least $500 for the medications and ultrasound, but it was less than $250!

DETERMINED TO KILL YOUR PET!! took my baby in a little bit ago for blood in stool and was told almost immediately to euthanize her! she is only 7 months old!! they took $300 from us and didnt even look at her or examine her and just told us for the quality of her life we should euthanize her!! we took her home that night and she immediately bounced back: she was just constipated and the blood wasn’t anything serious. they fearmongered and used medical buzzwords and diseases to scare us and get our money! genuinely do not go here if you care about your pet. take the drive to pittsburgh for a better experience. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY AND WOULD RATHER PUT YOUR SWEET BABY TO SLEEP THAN TO SPEND RESOURCES TO HELP THEM!!!!!

They were very quick to see us and look at our pet. They were so very compassionate and just helped us through the grief they knew we were going through. I had my doubts coming here but after today I give them 5 ⭐️

The staff were amazing and very kind while my dog stayed in the hospital for two days. The facility is nice and seems as though Avets doctors have a lot of medical equipment. My dog left happy and healthy!

My bunny had GI stasis. The front desk was incredibly helpful over the phone. Continually contacting me and responding. But they told me to wait a few hours so a doctor familiar with rabbits would be there when I got there. I shouldn’t have waited. When we got there we were taken back and a vet tech assessed him and walked away. We sat there for 2 hours until the doctor came in and said we could do overnight stay for an unreasonable price or do outpatient care. We decided on outpatient care. He never came back into the room. It was late and we decided to leave after 4 hours because it was exhausting and frustrating. Other animals came and went and no one was in the waiting room. We asked where the doctor was multiple times and they never had a time estimate or showed much compassion. Over the phone they said it was urgent to bring him in because he hadn’t eaten or had anything to drink for 24 hours. But they never had any urgency while we were there. He died the next morning. They didn’t kill him but they didn’t help him either.

I've had 3 experiences here (3rd happening today with my sweet Brooklyn), and all really great (even though obviously we had scary things happening with our pets). All teammates here get 5 stars!!! Thank you!!!

My dog had a consultation with Dr. Sandler the neurologist. She was extremely knowledgeable and attentive to my concerns. The staff doted over my big dopey boy the entire time and he loved every second of it.

I brought my frog in for a potential infection because it was my only option. I called in advance to see if anyone could see him, and their exotics vet was out, but I was told another vet would take a look at him. 5.5 hours and $300 later, I'm being told my frog is very ill and I'm being upcharged for "recommended" products with very little price transparency. The vet got his species wrong multiple times in the appointment and after following up with my regular vet, I believe all the info they gave me at Avets was incorrect. This may be a fine emergency place in general, but I would highly warn against taking exotics here unless it's your last option.
Edit: I wanted to return an unopened product with the receipt that they sold me after telling me it cost less than it did, but I'm not allowed to return it because I took it out of the building. They only want your money

If I could give zero stars I would. When we checked in, we were told 4-6 hour wait time.
Which is fine, I know that vets are extremely busy and short staffed.
However, after waiting almost 7 hours, my dog with several leg wounds, in pain and bleeding, has still not been seen. You don't run an emergency vet this way.

If you care about your pets don't come here. Not enough staff, vet techs or vets to care for the pets that come in and ur pet will sit and suffer for hours apon hours we are talking 7-8+ and after waiting it could be increased more. We will never come here again.

This place isn’t even an Emergency Room in my opinion. Took my Dog here last night because she vomited 5 times and the last time she vomited there was foam coming out her mouth. Then some care giver came in to play some vets messenger boy and told me that we would have to wait 4 hours for an X-ray even though they thought she had a GI obstruction. I was told they had no staff and were working on an Exotic. The Doctor didn’t even come see my dog, when we asked if she could be monitored over night by the staff the caregiver said no, absolutely Terrible experience and I would not recommend anyone coming into this Circus act of a hospital.
