August 2024 by Gina DiStefano
I have never experienced someone so rude as I did twice in two weeks when dropping donations off at this location. The first time I said, "Hello" and got no response and his attitude while he took my stuff seemed irritated and rude. I thought maybe he was having a bad day, so I let it go. As he was walking away, I asked for a donation slip and he stopped and stared at me. He didn't say a word, he just stared at me with fury in his eyes. He handed me a slip and I asked him if he was ok? He said no and I told him I was sorry for that and went about my business.
I went in today with some really nice fall house decor. He was there waiting-same guy. So I said hello and he said hey and I thought, Ok. He seems better today. So I handed him the fall decorations that used to be my mothers and have been kept nicely in boxes and said, "I have some nice fall decorations here" and he responded with, ""These are trash."
Now I realize that he doesn't know me and the people reading this probably don't know me but I am here to tell you that my mother did not buy anything cheap. She shopped at Macys and places like Macys. So to say the items were trash were a complete insult.
I stopped as if he had gut-punched me. "Excuse ME?" I said. He repeats that they are trash and I blew my top. "You are the rudest person I have ever met in my life! Why would you say that? These things aren't trash. They will sell in the store! People will want them!" to which he replied that it wasn't the right time of year and they will sit around. Today is August 2. The stores are FULL of Autumn decorations. I told him I will not give this store any more of my items and I left. I drove directly to Community Aid where a very nice gentleman helped got my stuff and told me to have a great day. I will be donating to community aid from now on. Btw, I phoned this store and the manager's voice mailbox had a very unprofessional outgoing message and they never called me back.

I went to donate a bunch of things today and I had the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Goodwill or retail store in general. First, I pulled in behind another vehicle that was unloading donations and I began to take bags out of my car and was yelled at by the employee that I can’t unload until the other car is done. Once I pulled up after the car left, I started unloading and handing the man bags. He wouldn’t take one item (metal basket/plant hanger that hangs from the ceiling) and said “nah, we ain’t doing this..that ain’t nothin” and made me put it back In my car. Then I went to grab a tote bag that had breakables in it and he said again “we ain’t doing this” and reached into the car to take out more donations along with the tote…I guess I was moving too slowly or not handing him enough items. He hastily put boxes with breakables and glass items in the bin..I would guess a lot of things broke in the process. Then I left without a receipt or a word from the male employee. I didn’t catch his name but I will never go back to this goodwill again…I’m still not sure what the problem even was. I don’t recommend going here and definitely would not donate to this location unless you want to leave feeling awful.

This used to be a decent place to find a deal. Not any more! Prices through the roof. On tag day they have someone running around yanking anything "good" with the color off the shelf. Overheard one employee bragging about how many high end things they find and send to the online store. Another was at the front register LOUDLY talking to another employee about a customer with bed bugs and how she picked a bedbug off of him. Then shared that you can crush up and snort bedbugs to get high (lovely way to talk with kids in the store). The other employee was making fun of the reviews they get here on google. Reading them and joking that they'll just price higher because they got bad reviews.
The whole store is trash. The CEOs making a mint while jacking up the price of donated goods to the point you might as well buy retail. I can buy Time & Tru shirts at Walmart brand new for less than Greedwill charges for their stained up shirts.
I'll stick to church thrifts from now on. Goodwill will get none of my donation or money!

I don't know what's happened to Goodwills in this area lately, but it feels more and more like they resent their customers. Aside from prices going through the roof (saw a T-shirt that army recruiters give away free at fairs tonight priced at $8), they make nonstop announcements for the last hour of them being open. Tonight they made an announcement at 7:22 saying the time was now 7:30 and if you want to buy anything come to the cash register now. Incredibly passive aggressive in a way that it never was before. Let people manage their own time. It would be reasonable to make a last call at like 7:50. Telling people to get out 40 minutes before closing is absurd. The only redeeming factor is that this Goodwill has some of the best items in the area, though you're not going to be happy with what they charge. The only exception is if it's a brand or item niche enough that they price it normally and not so niche that they Google it and price it at the highest price they can't find on eBay.

The prices are ridiculous. The clothes are cheaper new at the store. Head over to the Salvation Army, everything's about half the price.

A great place to shop for bargains! For instance: brand new European shoes ( see pic) or beautiful bowls or designer purses slightly used.

Their prices are ridiculous. Found a pair of jeans for $20. That is DONATED INVENTORY you got. Those jeans were from Kohls. All the women's shirts are 6.99 when they use to be 3.99. They say they are a Non-profit company.... Mmmhmmm sure. I saw things I donated with horrific price tags and I was sooooo disappointed. I will never donate again to this company and neither should you.

Tons of dvds, which is what I was looking for. Found the exact movie I wanted. Some things are brand new. Lots of good deals
