Had orthopedic surgery done in 2015 on my hips. Turned out you would never know that I had both of them replaced. Have been there for multiple appointments and found excellent and caring staff.

My geriatric primary care physician and nurses are very supportive and are willing to listen and explain things in a way you can understand. The pharmacy and social services are top notch.

You send messages. You get ignored. You get told you are believed. Then told it is all in your head. Record needed ammeded. I just transferred here. I am already ready to never go back. This place is almost as terrifying as my last place (Martinsburg if you want to know). That is something I never thought I would say. Oh, and the chant "we are number 1" is something interesting to say the least. Maybe you should ask other people that go here as well.

They continue to be the best VA facility. New building, check-in, check-up, two referrals, check-out = 15 minutes. The staff are so kind and helpful.

Totally insane, the chase game on Rx refills, in dribbles and dribbles, going from one month to the next, i.e., late refills that go into the next month, cancel out the month the month prior. Also, seeing a Primary once a year, while in end stage renal failure, does not meet medical needs. Further, unless I give my bank account number, I do not get travel pay. It's horrible.

ILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!
I drove an hour to get there at 3am because of a very painful toothache
I couldn't even talk....I walk in the emergency room, the woman behind the reception counter waves me over. I point to my mouth to let her know I couldn't speak without pain.
I handed her my veterans ID card she said ' we don't take those anymore' then I motioned that I could write my name and send. She said no just say it...I pointed to my mouth again and mumbled I can't talk without pain. She said " you're talking now" and she shrugged her shoulders with an attitude. At that point I got up and said I'll drive to the Baltimore va. I was in excruciating pain. I went to the car and sat. She called the hospital police I guess because a sergeant came. He came over to my car and was one of the most professional people I have ever dealt with, he understood what was going on. Wrote my Info down and helped me back in the hospital. I got called back and trialed. Thankfully I didnt have to deal with the woman behind the desk again. Horrible experience except for the officer on duty.

As I sit here in the ER waiting area waiting for my father in law whom I was told would be discharged in about 5 minutes which was told to me more than 30 minutes ago, I can't help but wonder if ANYTHING was done for his situation. Was told that the ER doctor that everything was fine including his cancer. How can that statement be made when he is scheduled for a PET scan tomorrow that aids in determining what exactly is going on? Unsure even if his primary care doctor even saw him let alone knows he's in the ER when the primary is somewhere in the building. Prime example of too many cooks spoil the stew, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing because of extreme lack of communication.
Been here since about 830am, and it's now 245pm 6/6/2024. And we're still waiting! I really wouldn't mind a personnel consultation with an administrator to rectify the situation.

I have been going to the Lebanon VA for over a year and now unfortunately need to change my recommendation from excellent.
I no longer trust being honest with my providers. I'll repeat that... I no longer trust being honest with my providers at the Lebanon VA! So now I have to decide how much information I can give my providers. I don't like having to withhold information but I feel it is the only choice. So what happened? I was taking wegovi/ozempic for weight loss and diabetes. Several months in and I had diarrhea for one day. The next week I had diarrhea and some vomiting for one day. So I called my provider from the pharmacy and she took away my medicine. My only diabetes medicine! She said it was only going to be for two weeks but I was bumped from her schedule because of a mandatory meeting.
What happened when my only diabetes medicine was taken away and I couldn't get back on her schedule? My sugars went out of control. I went to the on call doctor at Reading and was immediately sent to the local hospital. My sugars were in the 500s. I tried to get this issue worked out for 9 months before my primary doctor finally sent me to the Allentown VA. This incident also set back injections for pain in my shoulder from orthopedics because my sugars were too high.
The patient advocates haven't been able to make much traction either. The provider and her boss in the pharmacy pointed to mythical policies that *poof* disappear as soon as you ask to see them. This is clearly an administrative problem with the Pharmacy manager. He clearly didn't care about me in the slightest.
On the other hand most other departments are great for thanking me for my service and making a veteran feel special.

My father had the best audiology visit ever today. He has been using hearing aids for years. Dr. Edward Winner at the VA was great. His assessment was thorough, my dad was given the upmost respect and really listen to. Then Dr. Winner reviewed everything with us and made sure we understood. Thank you ! Dr. Winner.

I’ve been going to the Lebanon VA for 6 years after moving here from New Hampshire. I was sold impressed the first time I drove in the facility. The care that I have received has been absolutely wonderful! I’m a Vietnam vet, and as I (we) get older we really do need help. Almost all of the folks that I have had contact with were very professional and caring. Thank you!

I've read many negative reviews I'm so sad that many of my fellow vets have had these problems,it hasn't been my experience,I've been treated with dignity, respect, and awesome care, nurse even warmed my blanket as an ICU patient, again sorry to my fellow vets, hopefully your problems will be resolved.i stand by my statement great care.now back in the sixties is when patient care was horrible,I'm always amazed how far they have come!!!
