Never again.
I have been going to this office for years and I will never again use this facility.
I had an appt this AM and while en route from my house, 40 minutes away, there was a car and truck accident that just happened. As a result, we sat a while before emergency personnel re-routed us, which added 20 minutes to my trip.
Like a responsible adult, I called Crooked Oat while in my car, using the number on their website. After being on hold for 4 minutes, a gentlemen answered. I explained a had an appt this morning but I would be approximately 13 minutes late (according to google maps). He replied that he would let the office know. That was the extent of our conversation.
I then drove the rest of the way to office only to be told that since I was more than 5 minutes late, they would have to check to see if they could see me. I explained about the accident and that I called, but I was told that I called the "answering service." I said I called the number on the website. The receptionist replied that the man on the phone should have told me about the 5 minute policy.
The receptionist left and then came back and said they were unwilling to see me since I was more than 5 minutes late and would I like to reschedule.
The answer is no.
My time and money are just as important as theirs. Because of Crooked Oak's mistake, I wasted a total of 80 minutes (not including the detour) of my time and of course, the gas.
Regardless of office policy, this is not how you treat a long time patient who was late due to causes beyond one's control.
I immediately made an appt with a closer facility and one whose ratings are 4.3 versus Crooked Oak's 3.4.
And in case Crooked Oak would like to respond, you should know that I was on the Board of Directors for a medical facility for approximately 10 years. I am well aware of the time constraints placed on providers. I am also versed in customer loyalty and professionalism, especially when the patient is late due to an unforeseen accident AND made the effort to call and notify the facility.
Never again Crooked Oak.

I really don't need to describe my experience. It mimics every 1 star review written on here. Funny that when I come here, I see other 1 star reviews, each and every one describing all my experiences combined, precisely.Anyone giving higher than 1 star doesn't have a clue what "health CARE" actually is.

I haven't needed to see a Dr in 3 years so they dropped as a patient. They did this without letting me know. Now, for the first time in my life I had to spend several nights in the hospital. When I was discharged from the hospital I was told to follow up with my primary care physician in 5 to 7 days. I called my doctor and Crooked Oak to make a follow up. They told me I am considered a new patient since I hadn't needed them in 3 years,,, and they are not taking any new patients so I have to find a new primary, that is their policy. How easy it would have been for them to just send me a letter, email or something a long the way to let me know they were dropping me. Now at the last minute I have to find a new primary care physician who will see me in a few days.

Dr. Bukhari is an exceptional American trained doctor whose brilliance shines through every aspect of his practice. With profound knowledge, remarkable skills, and genuine compassion, he consistently goes above and beyond to provide outstanding medical care. His ability to listen attentively and communicate effectively instills trust and comfort in patients. His commitment to staying abreast of the latest advancements in medicine reflects his dedication to excellence. He told me he spends hours every week reading medical articles. My family is truly fortunate to have Dr. Bukhari as our family healthcare provider, as he epitomizes the epitome of an amazing doctor and we hope he stays here at the office for the next 50 years. He is always on time and we never have to wait longer than 5 minutes. We felt listened to and we felt we knew what our care was. We were charged appropriately and he combined our appointments together so we did not have to go back for another six months. Best family doctor ever. We love you!

I have been a patient of Margaret Riggs, PA for several years. She is the best! PA Riggs always listens, assess, research if necessary , review and treat. She stays updated on the latest data paired with her experience makes her an excellent clinician. I am very thankful to have a clinician who is so compassionate and competent.

So much for Doctors working with you. Don't even bother with trying to get an exemption from them.I had an issue with my heart, so I asked for an exemption to the vaccine. I even expressed that I refuse to get one regardless, just wanted the exemption.Long story short, Doc said no to the exemption and tried to get me to get the J&J.Office and Doctors don't seem to care about patients anymore just vaccines and money. Even 2 second opinions later and (even after I asked to NOT RECOMMEND A VACCINE) and I was directed to get J&J .

My PCP is fabulous. He actually listens and gives referrals to reputable doctors. The only thing I don't like is the phone tag you have to play with the staff. You can't call the front desk directly and if you miss a call from one of the nursing staff, you're screwed because you'll have to leave another message to call you back. It's an absolute pain! The rest of this health system is an absolute nightmare, but I love my PCP at Crooked Oak. LGH in general has really gone down hill since UPenn took over.

Compared to Arch St Clinic, this was an obvious upgrade for me. My new Pcp Ashley, Nurse Trevor, and others have been very pleasant in comparison to all the medical help I got previously. No doubt about that. Getting decent health care has always been a struggle for me personally. It shows, and I'm grateful for any improvement in getting the services I need. Thank you for the much needed help!

Complete lack of care and no way to get ahold of a doctor unless you schedule a full in person visit… even if they are ordering test that were never reviewed with you. I had several different things get told to me and the second I questioned it everyone started getting uptight with me and telling me this was “the protocol”. In short they really don’t care for your health just looking to check boxes and get you out the door ASAP. I will be finding a new PCP.

Since my move to Pennsylvania, my son & I both have doctors here. Both are very thorough. They jump on it when they suspect any problems. The staff is so friendly. Wait times have been at most 5 mins (possibly 10 mins if there's an emergency.) The drs walk in and treat you like you're all friends and exams are very thorough. They cover all the bases. I wish they drew blood for labs there, you have to go to another LG building. That's my only complaint. When you need a driver or Uber you have to pay for that extra. It is what it is though. What matters is they have good doctors, good staff... their quick action actually saved my life once when I had an infection that hit my blood. They knew something was wrong and sent me straight to the hospital where it was figured out. Ok, I think that covers it! Hidden gem in Lancaster... Crooked Oak.
