OLD REVIEW:
First, the many positives about this experience:
This team really went the extra mile to serve the customer. Everything from offering shuttles to and from our workplaces, to having a waiting room with comfortable chairs and coffee, employees offering customers water, to being friendly to difficult customers.
The one thing that I found that was a cause of concern was the paperwork that all of us signed. This, of course, has nothing to do with the exceptional team at this office, but more with Faulkner avoiding liability to the point where they have a legal right to not stand by their parts and work. Basically, what we are required to sign is a brief paragraph where Faulkner waves all liability for faulty parts and service and the customer takes all parts and service AS IS. The problem with this becomes if an injury or death is traced back to faulty parts or work, the customer just waived all their rights receive legal compensation if they want to when signing this. Also, if the part they place in your vehicle is faulty, legally you have to pay for the new part.
However, I have seen Faulkner go the extra mile to help the customer save money if the customer is not pleased with the results of the service. So, maybe this paragraph is simply a legal must for them?
Anyway, I would love to hear the owner's response to some of this.
For now, overall, nice place and great customer service!
NEW REVIEW:
Unfortunately, I'm going to need to edit this review. The vehicle was starting well when I picked it up from Faulkner that day. However, the very next day the vehicle was having problems starting all over again. This was $700 spent and two trips to Faulkner to work on the issue only to have the vehicle returned back to me in the same condition it was given to me. I am going to add a photo of the "warranty disclaimer" that Faulkner has every customer sign so that others are aware of this approach. Basically, Faulkner provides no warranty on their parts and no guarantee on the quality of their service. So, legally, if a technician installs a defective part, the customer has no legal recourse by signing this agreement. From my conversation with my customer representative, the customer pays Faulkner to do a step by step "trial and error" approach. The technicians use a manual to start at Step 1 and then follow the preceding steps until the issue is resolved. Here you are paying "top dollar" for each step even if the steps do not address the root issue. For example, I paid for a whole new "theft prevention" module which was unnecessary to install because obviously it was not the cause of the issue. I paid $700 for two steps that did not address the issue.
I suggested to my customer representative that if Chevy creates such complex computer systems in their own vehicles, they can also create effective and efficient diagnostic tools to go straight to the issue instead of blindly going through so many steps and charging the customer top dollar for each "miss." His response was that there is millions of dollars of equipment over there. To me, this would be like saying if I buy an expensive hammer I should be able to get a screw out effectively with it. Why not just use a screwdriver? Likewise, the cost of all their equipment is not the issue. The effectiveness of their equipment is the real issue. And that's measured by getting to the root issue quickly instead of charging the customer hundreds of dollars for "missed diagnostics."
Again, the people who work there seem like fantastic with their customer service skills and they seem to really want to help the customers. It's just sad that Chevy doesn't make their job easier and continues to charge customers for unnecessary work and doesn't want to stand by their service. By the way, my vehicle is a Chevy Impala. After 10

My car has been here since April and nobody will tell me what is wrong I call everyday and I’m hung up on and I can’t get through to anybody about my car. So basically they took my car and refusing to give me any information so that I can remove it from there and take it elsewhere.. police say I will have to take them to court this is ridiculous and my car is paid off btw

My wife and I were heading to Lancaster for a family wedding and began experiencing warning lights on the dashboard about 20 miles west of town. When we got to a family member's home, the truck died. I called the service center and Greg told me to have it towed to the dealership and he would work hard to take care of us. By the next morning they had diagnosed the issue and the truck was fixed by the end of that day. We stopped at 11:30 the following day and picked up the truck and headed safely home to SW Ohio. A big thanks to Greg and the technicians for making a potentially very difficult out-of-town breakdown a non-issue!

My car broke down while in Lancaster and I am from out of town. The communication, service, and repair work done was exeptional. One of the best experiences I've had with a dealership (and I have had plenty of good experiences)
