Be sure that your vehicle is up to date with everything! My vehicle's computer system was outdated so I cannot use the CarPlay feature. My vehicle's A/C compressor is damaged, it needs a new radiator, cabin air filter and other pieces which means my A/C is blowing warm air. The speaker is also broken as well. Mostly my fault since I could've done a better job of checking, however with a relatively new car you assume all of these functions are taken care of. One positive, the customer service was fine. The people that work there were all very friendly.

3 stars because after purchasing a vehicle I, unfortunately, had to return it. I took it to a mechanic after the purchase to have it checked out and multiple problems were found with the car. If you are not mechanically inclined, I highly recommend spending the $50 to have an outside mechanic check it when purchasing a used car from CarMax. I did purchase another vehicle through CarMax and my mechanic found issues with it as well. CarMax is paying my mechanic to fix the issues as one of their mechanics already fixed one of the issues found. I will say this... customer service was spectacular at CarMax! My only issue was with the problems with the cars I purchased. I would recommend buying from CarMax, just be sure to have someone check it out as if there are issues, CarMax will make it right!

I purchased my car using the express pickup option. Purchasing aspect was simple, fast and everyone was helpful/happy to answer questions.
After leaving with the car, the gas tank was on “E” (a full tank is standard and required for exchanges). Within 20 minutes of driving the TPMS light came on. Checked are pressure/added air and did not go away. Likewise, transmission began to feel rough when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear.
Immediately expressed my concerns but took several days to get a response. They seemed more concerned with the gas tank not being full than the actual mechanical concerns.m and stated that they would reimburse me for the gas
Was advised to bring the car in (3rd day of ownership) so they could take a look/make repairs and provide a loaner car. Took forever to have the loaner car brought around which was immensely frustrating as Carmax is a long drive for me and it was a weeknight (also had small children in tow). Dropped the car off and did not hear a word for several days- only received an update after prompting the individual who helped with the purchase. Was told the issues were valid and they were working on repairs- would have it finished and ready for pickup by the end of the week. End of the week arrived and had not heard anything. Called and left a voicemail, no response. Contacted the individual who helped with the sale again and they walked over to the service center. Received a call an hour or two later saying that a part had arrived later than expected and I could pick it up on Monday. Monday came and went and no call to pick up or status updates. It’s now Tuesday and have yet to receive any additional updates or information on when to pick up the car. I’ve had the loaner car far longer than the actual car that I purchased and am extremely disappointed with the whole experience. I am still within the 30 day timeframe and am considering returning the vehicle and shopping elsewhere. Completely unacceptable experience and do not recommend purchasing here.

Overall good experience. This was our second car we sold to CarMax this year. I was hoping for a bit more on the offer and an easier to get a hold of my advisor experience but it all worked out. Quick process.
