Good grocery store

I have shopped at Weis for the past 15 years. I have shopped at Giant locally too and also travelled extensively during this time for work hitting up numerous HEB's, United's, Albertson's, Food Lions, Publix, and a half dozen other major brands. Weis not only beats out the local Giant, but holds up on the national scale with the better ones I've been to. Solid produce quality and not just underripe overtreated 'show food', real tasty locally grown stuff. Yes I got a bad pack of meat once in the 15 years, it was on discount at the sell by date to move it. That was a ~0.1% of my visits problem. I've got a bad product at other grocery stores on my first and only visit. Their meat department there is actually great because not only do they have CAB brand beef, but they will cut stuff to order as well like a real butcher not just everything frozen in the back (though many things are clearly packaged offsite...). I have no real reason to be reviewing Weis right now other than it happened to show up in one of my yelp searches with a surprisingly low score. That made me curious to read the other reviews, which in turn inspired me to try to contribute to the overall accuracy of yelp. It's a great store and obviously the majority of shoppers are not checking in on Yelp, it's a big parking lot and always has a lot of cars in it...

My experience here has been 5 star. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I delt with this pharmacy a few times lately and have been very pleased.

I did my grocery shopping today and I think they need to teach their cashiers how to pack. The women I had put all my canned food in one bag, I had to as her to double bag it. She put Clorox bathroom cleaner in with my bread! She dropped my bananas on top of my eggs, when I got home 3 were broken!! I'm sure I could have done a better job!

IMO This store should have real potential since it is surrounded by a community The parking lot normally has a fair number of cars. The thing that I dont get is the amount of breakdowns the store has had. The cashier conveyors dont always work as well as the self check out machines or the store card reader. There is often something not working in the mens bathroom. Since the GM changed I continue to hope for improvemens. One last thing that would help ,,,,, please order products BEFORE they are completely sold out.

I do not recommend this store at all. I shop here because I live really close by, but even that doesn't matter when I end up throwing out food that's spoiled when I buy it. Tonight it was bacon, buy one get one free, but both are in the trash now and I am out 8 bucks. In the past 3 years I have had to toss pork chops, chicken drumsticks, cucumbers, chicken thighs, half and half, sunflower seeds, bear naked granola, cheese, lettuce, hamburger, and yogurt that was spoiled when I got it home. I don't mean stuff that sat in my fridge- I mean it was bad when I got it. You could return items that are spoiled but some of the customer service people are really nice and some are very surly. I guess I wouldn't be happy to have someone handing me a rotten pack of pork chops but I would be nice to them. In general maybe stick to buying cleaning products here and buy actual food items at one of the many other places in and around town. Also, steer clear of the seafood department at night. They leave ice in the cases and it smells like rotten fish when you walk by. The one nice thing about Weis is the pharmacist Jim. He's always very helpful and friendly. The pharmacist Terry once kept me waiting for 15 minutes to chat with a friend who was in front of me, so long that the friend apologized to me for holding up the line. In the future I recommend Costco for food, or whole foods. Giant in a pinch, boyers if you can make the drive to Fleetwood, echo hill for natural foods and lunch meats, or anywhere else but here.

Don't shop after 8:00 pm or your only checkout options are self check or express lane.

Bad Customer Service.,,,I ask for a manager but the "old' good" manager, Eric, went to Kutztown, The new Manager, Brian, does not have time for you. I will go back to Giant!! Brian is too busy to deal with issues.

I'm going to be a regular shopper at this supermarket because of it lying on the path between my new home and work. So far, I've noticed it's super clean with a lot of good deals. Excited that there's a bakery and a seafood section. My three-year-old LOVES the miniature shopping cart. They've got a nice salad bar too and a Redbox for when you want to rent something. I also like the incentive program where you can get 10 cents off your gas per gallon if you purchase $50 or more worth of groceries. That adds up. All around, a solid store.

Absolutely worst costumer service! The morning crew is the rudest grow of people I encounter. The employees say things about the costumer sad plain as day. It has happened to me and I over hear what's being said. One woman in the deli is also very rude. I have never gotten so much attitude from one store! I will not be shopping at this location again!
