“Great local grocery market. I needed a few things and didn't want to deal with the big stores and found everything I needed plus some great locally made/grown products and fresh meats. I'll definitely be making this a multivisit location and it's so close to home.”

217 W Middle St, Gettysburg“Excellent grocery. Supermarket. Pretty good prepared foods - a good selection at any rate. Super clean. The people are awesome. Overpriced but the convenience of the location may outweigh that. Definitely worth a visit.”
“Love everything except everyday prices.. Things not on sale are expensive. So i normally only shop for the sale items, salad bar (freshest one in town!) ,best birthday cakes!, and deli... Love the meats! And the seafood salad, hot case, and the chicken! Love Dave, Archie, Dora, Vonnie, and Jerry”
“Just got a cold cut sub here tonight and wow.. really good. The bread was fresh, perfect amount of meat and even the lettuce was fresh!! Honestly the subs haven't been this good in about 10 - 15 years!!”
“It is a nice little store, it has a lot of selection. Definitely small town America, it has a catering company in the front area! For a small town store it has good hours, and it is easy to get to. No complaints!”
“Mostly the store is well organized and the employees are very helpful. I've never had to wait no more then a minute or so to be checked out. Great service should be like this in every store.”
9:30AM - 9:30PM
15 S Franklin St, Gettysburg“The lady who makes food here must be some sort of wizard, its deliciousness is matched only by its authenticity. Her enchanting pulled chicken is still galloping whimsically across my taste buds in the fields of my dreams. Simply: wow.”
8AM - 10PM
2 Springs Ave, Gettysburg“They always have what I'm looking for and staff is nice and helpful. I just wish the store didn't look so run down. Looks like it hasn't been cleaned in 10 years, but I know that's not true because I've seen the staff cleaning and reorganizing the store. I realize it's a older shopping center, but you're representing "Gettysburg" and "Dollar General " IN A TOURIST TOWN. PEOPLE FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY SEE THIS STORE . NOT A GREAT IMPRESSION !!!! OBVIOUSLY, DOLLAR GENERAL DOESN'T CARE !!! This is a busy store. I know DG CAN AFFORD TO RE-DO THIS STORE !!!”
8AM - 10PM
501 E Main St, Emmitsburg“This is a very well maintained little store. The shelves are fully stocked and everything is nice and neat. No clutter, no mess and friendly staff. I enjoy shopping here.”
“Really impressed and pleased to find fresh fruits and veggies at a dollar general- staff very nice, we will start to come here more often for those quick things we need”
7AM - 12AM
150 Carlisle St, Gettysburg“I have been to this place when I was a little boy. The only thing that surprises me is in fact that this was the original Gettysburg Sheetz which I have never been inside it when it was originally a Sheetz. That’s what makes me feel surprised.”
“I actually used to avoid this Dollar General the past year or so because the employees that had recently started to work there were rude and made me uncomfortable when I checked out (not just me as my friend also said she witnessed this as well when I told her). It actually made me start going to Emmitsburg Dollar General instead. I tried going again within the past few months and the two employees now (no sign of the other ones) were amazing! The gentleman, I don’t know his name, is very nice and when I checkout he engages in some polite conversation and is personable. The woman, I don’t know her name either, maybe Kathy I believe? Also very personable and actually helped me when I went to checkout by showing me to a better product on sale I didn’t even see before and was exactly what I’d wanted. I hope that this Dollar General has raised the pay and gives benefits now because these are the kind of sales clerks they need and these two definitely deserve it! They go above and beyond.”
