Paul restored a Greek icon painting on wood that had been damaged by another restorer who bit off more than he could chew. Paul saved the day and restored the icon to its original condition. He does wonderful work and was a pleasure to work with.

I have known Paul Gratz of Gratz Gallery & Conservation Studio since 1991. My first experience along with every after has been absolutely excellent! The highest quality restoration is the standard at Gratz Gallery. There is no conservation service that can match quality and price! If your considering having any restoration or conservation done! This is the place no need to look further hands down Paul's the best!

Paul's work is impeccable. He is a wonderful artist and can do great reconstruction work. We were quite pleased with the work he did for Howard Johnson Sr. Howard would recommend Gratz Gallery to anyone for all their reconstruction work

Do you have that one special piece that you are afraid to let out of your sight but, know that needs restoration/appraisal? I have this wonderful painting done in 1927 by E. Willis or (Edward Willis Redfield). It needs to be made shiny again. But the conundrum is, whom to entrust it to? So I began my search for the person I could trust to do the job. Just to let anyone that reads this yes, I am a real customer (Not a friend or paid reviewer) and will be a customer of Paul's forever. I Highly recommend his work for all your precious pieces.

The 19th Century paintings look very modern to me. There is also very little or no history of the painters making you really doubt if that art is legit. One should take great caution when buying the art

Do you have that one (or more) special piece that you are afraid to let out of your sight but, know that it needs restoration? That was me, not that long ago. I have this wonderful painting done in 1934 by my great Uncle, Alexis Szabo. After many years of hanging in homes where smoking was the norm, fireplaces roaring, coal heat and forced hot air heat my 'precious' was sadly showing it's age. It needed to be made shiny again. But the conundrum was, whom to entrust it to? So I began my search for the person I could trust to do the job. I made phone call after phone call starting with The Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, where my Uncle was a student (a very long time ago). I then broadened my search to Museums and low and behold the name of Paul Gratz kept popping up, in my search. Since I wasn't familiar with this man or his work, I was still skeptical but, I steeled myself to give this man and his reputation a chance. I packed up my painting and off I went to Doylestown. I was impressed with the scope of his art 'collection' and the previous restorations he had done. So I left my 'precious' with (out) much trepidation, went home and commenced sitting in my living room looking at the empty space on the wall, waiting for the phone call informing me that my 'precious' painting was once again shiny and new.
