The office staff/nurses there are very friendly, but Dr. Whitman himself lacks bedside manner. He isn’t very friendly or personable, begins examinations without explaining what he’s doing (ex: lifted my shirt in the back without warning), and blames any and all ailments on weight. I was shocked to see that my after visit summary listed “obesity” as a reason for the visit, when in reality I got a physical for my job \\u0026 discussed some knee and wrist pain unrelated to my weight. Even more insulting, they provided recommendations on how to lose weight which included joining a gym and eating healthier. Which had he asked, I would have been able to tell him I already have been doing both of those things and have lost 60lbs already. Also he sent my script to the wrong pharmacy even after I corrected him. Definitely will not be seeing him again.

I am extremely frustrated with Dr. Whitman's practice! I asked him over a month ago for a medical letter to give to the army irregards to my current health status. At first he said he was unable to help, then approximately a week later he seeming changed his mind and said he would be willing to work with me on it. Then after several weeks and several calls to the office in order to get an update on the progress of the letter. I was informed by the nursing staff that he had changed his mind again and would no longer be willing to help. If I had know from the beginning that he would be so flippant and ultimately unwilling in the end to help, I wouldn't have even bothered him with my request. I am extremely dissatisfied with the way this practice operates and will be looking to go elsewhere. Dr. Whitman has been unwilling to hear my concerns in regards to my health and only seems to be pushing the agenda he sees fit. I will be seeking out a doctor who listens to what I have to say and will work with me when I have reservations about certain treatments. I encourage anyone reading this to maybe think twice about being treated medically by a practice that so quickly writes off the concerns of those it's supposed to be helping.

One of the last Pittsburgh/ Cranberry doctors who still cares, has great concern for each patient and their ailment's, and who still has COMPASSION!
