“If you love new and used books. Then this is the place to be. I spent $8.09 for a used hardcover copy of Dodsworth published in 1926. Plus a $1.00 donation to the cause.The staff here is awesome.I have such a high regard for used books. Sometimes just settling in with a cup of tea and some sunshine. To read a great story. “A MUST STOP when in the area! I try to stop in The Alley Door whenever I am nearby. The inventory is always new and there’s many hidden gems. In today’s visit my sister found a vineyard vines sweatshirt, a rails dress and a black linen dress. She also purchased some very cute tea cups. I found a new hat and brand name swim trunks for my husband, an adorable brass sailboat figurine, and a pair of RL shorts. I’ve always found something here that I either needed or couldn’t pass up for the GREAT prices!!! Carol is a doll. And the shop is organized and fun to shop in. Stop in, have an open mind, and see what you can find. There’s definitely treasures to be found.”
“Stopped in this little gem of a vintage shop with no expectations whatsoever. I came out buying 4 items, one of them a dress with a pig print and Dolly collar I am absolutely smitten over. A small business owner and vintage shop owner myself, I appreciate small shops like this and the courage it takes to run one. “This is a very nice thrift that is black-owned and woman-owned in West Philly. I found they had a nice selection of items and it was well-lit and clean. They had a variety of things they were selling including clothing, shoes, furniture and various other knick-knacks. The owner was nice enough to provide information when I asked about the prices, and I'm excited to return when I have more time on my hands!”
“It’s a little thrift shop with little amount of things but they have great prices. Sometimes you can catch good sales. I caught a sale, clothes were $1 each. The employees are friendly too. There’s some hidden treasures in here. I recommend checking it out.”

Also benefits a great cause so you can feel good all-around by shopping here.To the insenstive folks complaining about the poor customer service: please understand many of the employees working in this store have developmental delays and may not interact with customers in ways you're used to. Be patient, kind, and compliment them on their wonderful store!”

“I have been visiting this store for over 25 years. Plenty of clothing, brick a brac, small electronics and housewares. Occasionally a nice piece of furniture.I just bought a beautiful set of hand painted wine glasses and carafe for about $10. Love ❤ this place.”
“They all seemed real nice there. He was very negotiable and respectful kind of funny maybe he's been huffing his own milk paint.. I'm from the south so this is one of the first thrift stores I've seen but reasonable pricing because most of the other ones I've been to up here I don't even know how they're in business cuz there's no way they sell anything at their dream thought prices”
