My homeschool group took a field trip to the museum today and had a great time. We loved that the tour was some inside and some outside so the kids could let out some energy in between stops. Lots to look at, button pushing, and hands on activities too. It was super cool to see the insides of the historic homes. A lot of us didn’t even know the steel factory was still in operation today. Definitely worth doing!

Wow, who knew! So many interesting things made from steel. Tour guides were very friendly and knowledgeable about Lukens Steel. Beautiful park and historic walkway. I had no idea Lukens steel created the Twin Towers and now Freedom tower bedrock and lobby plate steel. The Guppy is so cute.

The people working there were rude. The tour guide left us in a room. He told us wait there. He left with 4 people. The tour was suppose to start at 3 pm. It was only 2:21. A lady came out several min later. She acted like we were a bother. She told us everything costs a fee. If we wanted to go on tour we needed to catch up with people that left several min before us. We decided to leave the premises and never return.

I did not go in. I visited the 9/11 memorial out front for the Tour of Honor. That alone was definitely worth the trip. It is amazing.

Somewhat hidden museum incredibly interesting. Jim the museum director by chance was my tour guide. Lived in this area many years and had no idea of the rich history of steel in coatesville. The museum is still in its infancy, but as it stands now it is amazing how many industries and world events lukens steel has touched. Jim was a great host and tour guide. Told a fascinating history.
