This stores Gunbroker has completely went down hill. I remember the good old days when you could buy ammo and actually pick it up in the store. Now all they sell is trash ! They don’t even have a firearm listed for sale out of there 680 posts, but if you want a first aid kit, swords, gloves, hats, cheap holsters, or a jig head for a cleaning rod they got you covered. If you want to look at firearms or something useful like ammo they won’t have it listed. Keep up the good work as a second rate auction house !

I was sold the wrong item. Trying to communicate with their customer service was awful. Now I’ve been ghosted. Don’t do business with them, they aren’t worth it

They are mostly geared towards online sales now. The selection of used guns is always decent. Most of the employees are generally helpful.

Apparently they are now under different management, because the service I received was fantastic, despite the older poor reviews. Staff was personable and got me what I needed.

Tried to buy a crossbow on GunBroker but the transaction didn't go through so I moved on to something else then a few days later I still get charged for it and when I tell them I don't want it now they say it's gonna coste $500 restocking fee so the only options are purchase the $2000 crossbow or give them $500 this is criminal

Won bid on Gunbroker for Mossberg 590. Picked up at store location. Very nice staff. Simple process. Saved lot of money. Would definitely do business with them again.

Sorry, but I don't get the ratings on this page. The shop has phenomenal reviews on GunBroker, and after winning an auction for a NIB 1911, I then found this page and thought maybe I'd made a mistake. I was sweating waiting for the gun to arrive, as a few on Yelp had said they ordered NIB guns that in fact weren't. All I can say is, the transaction went through in seconds, the auction price was fantastic... at least $200-$300 below current "Buy Now" market prices everywhere else... there were no "bots driving up the price of the gun"... the transaction processed in seconds, the gun shipped first thing the following morning, as the auction ended after business hours the night before... It arrived in 2 business days... and it was perfect... as advertised... still covered in original gun oil from the manufacturer and flawless. I was so concerned after reading this site that I'd reached out to my FFL to make sure he inspected it and took pics before I arrived in case I had to dispute the transaction. He told me he's taken deliveries from them before and had never had a problem, and said the comments calling out GB for having fake reviews are BS. So they've got amazing reviews on GB... amazing reviews on Google and everywhere else I've looked, but a whopping 1.5 stars on Yelp. Tells me more about Yelp than it does Sportsman's Supply. I'll buy from them again in a heartbeat and have already send links to my son as well.

Seemingly deceptive business practices. This store will not let you purchase certain firearms in store, but instead make you bid on them on GunBroker. I have bid on several firearms on GunBroker that they have, but I suspect that they have employees and family jacking up the price of the auction artificially, as there is no oversight. I suspect this because a firearm auction I was interesed in was taken down and immediately relisted after the gun was going to sell for $150 less than retail. This was after an account that had previously placed no bids jacked the price up by over $500 with a single bid

Will make you go online and bid on firearms that you want instead of being able to just buy them outright. They list their auctions as having no reserve, but take down and relist auctions when you win a firearm at a fair market price for it. All-in-all, this is an incredibly clownish and incompetently run business

Bought an S&W 629-6 from them on gunbroker. The description said NIB. when the gun arrived, I noticed it had scratches on the cylinder, and the barrel was canted. This was not a new firearm. Sent an email to them, and they said send it in for warranty work. I will never do business with them or gunbroker again

Bought a NIB S&W 629-6 off Gunbroker. It has scratches and the famous S&W ring on the cylinder from use. And it has a canted barrel. This is used not new. When I contacted Sportsman's Supply, the reply I got was send it S&W for warranty work. I will never do business with them or gunbroker again!

I was high bidder on 14 items on GunBroker. Went to their store to pick them up and they tell me they no longer allow store pickup. They always used to allow store pickup and we're very friendly. This time they were very rude and said the only thing I can do is have the items shipped at $15 each or pay the relist fee. With what I bid, paying shipping would be more than the items were valued at. I had no choice other than to pay their relist fees, and I got nothing in return. If they don't allow store pickup, then their posting should state that. Over the past I had purchased over $20,000.00 of items from them. No more, I will never purchase another thing from Sportsman's Supply in Butler.

I found an O/U shotgun on Gunbroker which exactly suits my needs, and after placing a bid wondered if it might be a good idea to check this store out before considering going any higher. I have never seen so many consistently negative comments made about a retailer anywhere, so decided to do some extra checking. From their online profile details, it appears to me as though they may be having bots do their customer ratings as well as driving bid prices higher. They have over the past 12 months 41297 positive comments with what looks like a high percentage coming from repeat commenters, 108 neutral, and 279 negative comments. In a perfect world it's possible that they could have roughly 14000 transactions commented on in a month.....so I called the store directly with a question, which the CSR answered but then said that he wanted to go take a look at the shotgun to see if there actually is such an item. I said "why?" and he responded "are you there?" several times before hanging up on me. My takeaway is that they have a very, very young staff with no knowledge of their product, no manners, no accountability, and I'm letting their bot outbid me.
