At first, I was unsure because of a few negative reviews, but I’m SO glad we went with them! The whole process was incredibly smooth and, honestly, enjoyable. Tracy was an absolute joy to talk to—she helped me get connected with the technician and scheduled everything right away. Michael helped us pick out the perfect fireplace, and even the owner personally stepped in to assist. Every single person we worked with was fantastic!
They explained everything so clearly, and anytime I had a question, they were right there with answers. The installation was unbelievably quick and seamless. And now we have the most beautiful fireplace that we absolutely LOVE. From start to finish, the whole thing took less than a month! I can’t recommend them enough—such an amazing experience!

Jim came out for a quick fix to our gas fireplace and gave it a good cleaning while he was here! He even fixed the wall switch which hasn’t worked in years because it was wired incorrectly. Jim assured me that our unit was safe and would last for years. If any malfunction occurred, parts were readily available. A competing, local business wouldn’t even come out to look at our unit …claiming our unit was too old and no parts would be available. Their loss of business and reputation! I’ll only call on Ed’s Woodshed for future needs. Highly recommend!

Would give 0 stars if possible.I hired Ed's Woodshed and paid $395 to have my wood burning stove serviced.A couple of weeks later I went to start a fire and the damper on the stove would not stay open.I called and the service tech acknowledged they must have reassembled it incorrectly.They said they would be out the following week to fix it. I never heard back and have since called 3 times and each time they said they would come to fix it and now it has been almost 2 months and still no one has come to fix it. This is not a good company I will never do business with them again.

I had a wonderful experience with Ed’s Woodshed. Michael was quick with a quote, electric fireplace was ordered and two gentleman came to install it. They did a wonderful job putting the unit in, kept the area extremely clean while cutting the wall out and were very attentive showing me how the unit operates and answering any questions I had. Thanks to Ed’s team, I have the fireplace I wanted for years. Highly recommend this business.

Ed’s woodshed installed 2 different botched jobs in our home before the third one was installed. Since then, at least 1-2 times each winter, the fireplace goes out. When we call for service, they can usually get to us in 2-4 weeks. At different points, we have learned that several different components were installed incorrectly. As nice as it may look, the service and functionality is lackluster at best.

These guys do excellent work! We had them do repair work on our chimney and their professionalism and quality was top notch. I highly recommend them.

Horrible! They will answer your phone calls and emails until they install the fireplace. When it stops working in one year, they are impossible to reach. I have been waiting almost a month on "parts". When I call, they claim they have no record of coming to my house. Jim, the owner, no longer responds to any emails. Avoid at all cost. I wish I had gone with anyone else.

Had a gas fireplace installed in October 2021-it stopped working in November 2022. We called to have it looked at and was told that it would be two weeks before someone was in our area (we're about 40 minutes from Bridgeville). On the day of the appointment (1:30 PM appointment) nobody showed or called. We called after waiting 30 minutes and left a voicemail. We waited an hour and called back again. Someone answered this time and I was told that a technician had called off that day and that they didn't know until they received my voicemail an hour before this (2:00 PM). No apology or recognition that I had called off work that day for this appointment. We were told it would be another two weeks before someone was in our area again. We informed them that we would not wait another 2 weeks. She told us that she would call back. She didn't. We received a call the following day at 11:00 AM from a technician that said they could come out right then and there. I was at work but made an arrangement to get home by 1:00. They came around 3:15 (which was fine). They were there for 15 minutes. Told me I needed a new remote box. it was replaced in that 15 minutes. We were charged $232.00 ($125 was for the service call. 15 Minutes and they completely blew us off the first go round). When I asked if it was normal for a remote box to go that quickly and what was wrong with it, he just said "I don't know. There was some melting but it was protected from the metal part so I don't know what it was."We love our gas fireplace but after spending $2000.00 and it breaking after one year and horrible customer service, I would not recommend Ed's Woodshed.

Absolutely awful experience. Paid $2,000 to have gas logs installed. 12 months later, they break. The company came to service it. $232. Avoid this place at all costs. I would give zero stars if possible.

At the behest of a radio testimonial, I called Piccadilly Chimney/Ed's Woodshed for a consult. I have a wood burning fireplace that I haven't used in the 22 years I've lived here and probably hasn't seen use since the 70's. I was eager to get the inspection, find out what was needed, and to schedule repairs before Christmas, so I didn't have to continue watching a log fire on Netflix!The employee came out and gave a thorough chimney inspection. Their camera system was great. I got a wonderful idea of what was needed.That's where the good experience ended. I asked for a email quote, and after numerous calls, emails, and web site requests, I have never heard back from them for the written quote or to schedule the work.After a couple more sales calls, I ended up using another service. I expect my fireplace will be running by next week. I am glad that SOMEONE actually wanted my money.
