Due to an atm malfunction lost $65. Customer service hung up, after calling three times and being told different time lines. Total deposit was $800. Only got $735 back. Closing both accounts.

Horrible bank. Had an account here for years, was responsible with account and decided to withhold my paycheck for a week with no valid explanation just because the system felt like it. Lost us as customers. Don't trust them with your money!

The worst bank ever. I do not recommend. The staff is super rude not only that customer service is even worse. I went to deposit money for my mom because I help take care of her and she lives in Florida and they going to tell me it’s. A new policy they started that I’m not allowed to she has to be present to add money in her account!

Good morning I hate leaving bad reviews I truly do but this is how we correct errors that people making customer service I've been banking with Santander three years my children also have accounts. Overall I always have a good experience. But this morning I went to get $200 out of the bank, sitting in line have patience so the wait was not bothering me at all I was sitting there and I was wondering what was taking so long no one said good morning no one said how do you want your money back blah blah blah then I hear OK Amy, hear you go have a great day. and I said well no one ever said good morning and no one ever asked me how I wanted my money. I did need it in a specific way, by then ended up sending the money back and she did it the way I asked but why wasn't that all done in the beginning why was I never acknowledged??? So customer service skills today were not good

I received a letter that the branch were I now have my safe deposit box will be closing. They advised me to close my account at the Elizabeth Avenue branch and take the contents to the Eighth Avenue branch which I did. The letter also informed me that I would receive a 1 year free on the rental of the box.
When I told the person at the bank about the free year she said that is not what the letter says. Since I had just payed a year in advance in June. She said that free is not free that only means that I don't have to pay the fees for opening a new box at their branch. Am I out $170 or do I get the free year that the letter told me?

I received a Santander Ad in my mailbox rewarding me $225 if I open a checking account. I tried to open both online and in this branch, however in both cases their system declined me. I am still wondering what was the problem, since nobody explained to me what was wrong about my case. My guess is that since I am a resident alien from Iran (especially because of my country), they didn't want to open an account for me. If that is the case, it is an extreme case of discrimination.
