“The Sacred Heart Church is a modern Church built 32 years ago to replace the old original Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church on Washington St. There is a large parking lot with handicap parking available. Handicap accessibility is through front entrance with handicap seating near front entrance at the side of the alter. The Church has a baby crying room and bathrooms in area of the rear parking lot entrance lobby area. The Sacred Heart School is attached with it's gym used for Church events and overflow seating for large mass gatherings. The rectory with Church offices, is next to the Church in a beautiful historic house with attached chapel. Attached to the Church is the original historic carriage house which now houses the St. Vincent de Paul charitable food pantry, helping those in need of food for many years. Father John is a fantastic priest who has been at Sacred Heart Church for over 20 years. Father John's Mass homilies are always a joy to listen to and always speaks to life's issues and how God is always there for us.Sacred Heart Church welcomes all.”
“Traveled an hour for some quality christian fellowship. Recently had to move out of the area but my heart will always bring me back. I thank God for the caring, loving wonderful brothers n sisters there. ❤”
“The first thing I noticed when j walked in was how welcoming it was. There were no bogus expectations, there were no judgements, and the sermon focused on the teachings of Jesus and relationship with God.I was concerned at first that this church would not have enough conviction in the Gospel, but that is far from the case. I've never seen a church where so many of the members are involved in volunteer ministries that benefit the community. The church is very accommodating for the differently-abled, and has a diverse congregation. I'm very happy to call this group my home.”
“Its such a wonderful parish. We have been members, for many years. Since 2006, nearly 17 yrs. The priest, Fr. T. Kearns, is very nice, & knowledgeable. He will go out of his way to help you. The parish is run in a VERY family, organized manner. Fr. Brady lives in residence also, & is helpful also. Decon Mark is in charge of the CCD program, which my grandchildren attend. I highly recommend this program, along, with membership in the parish. Reach out to the rectory, & check out this wonderful, God fearing parish.. see pics from Christmas eve Mass we attended.. TY. God bless you.”
“As we near the High Holidays I just want to share what a wonderful and inclusive community this is. I Feel very lucky to be a part of it. We have an incredible staff who care deeply about our congregants.”
“This is now my home church now. I recently joined, although i had been attending for a while. A small, warm community church. Service is always good, but last Sunday Pastor Stanley Hearst, Sr. preached his socks off!!!”
“My favorite place of worship and great biblical teaching from my Pastor Rev. Dr. Guy Campbell Jr. Please feel free to come worship with us anytime we'd love to have you.”
“Congregations of Shaare Shamayim, more than a school , they make you feel as a family. Their school program and activities during the year are amazing, the way how they teach kids through fun activities are perfect for those first years in school. Teacher communication is always good and my daughter besides getting smarter everyday, she is also working and values and making beautiful memories! 100% recommended .”
“As I have journeyed through life the Lord put it on my heart to share this review. This church is truly an example of a salt n light ministry. There’s no question the pastor and the ministry team is operating with the Holy Spirit.Sadly many churches have Succumb to appealing to the world and deviating from true gospel.I would encourage those who are searching for the truth and opportunity to have a life changing experience to walk through the doors of PCC and see what happens in your personal walk in life. Through Christ we Receive our identity. Other avenues outside of him we try to achieve our identity.”
