I complained once that a package didn't arrive and the post master called me back and berated me because our address has a half in it and said that isn't even a real address and we shouldn't be getting mail. And then, to get even for the negative criticism, they withheld our mail for two weeks. They suck!

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. The management here are a bunch of scumbags and have been messing with my grandmother and her neighbor's mail delivery requests for months.
They are unprofessional and cruel to the elderly.

Consistently friendly, helpful service. I choose this post office over others all the time.

This post office is one of the better ones in the area, thank you. Just an FYI, they lock the building. You can't drop mail off for the next day or check po boxes.

I sell things on ebay, so I go to the post office several times a week, and this is the worst post office in the area. You are not allowed to use their parking lot, so you have to pay for street parking, which is a constant annoyance. If the next closest post office wasn't a 20 minute drive away, I would never go here. The front desk workers are pleasant enough if your transaction is easy, but if you have a problem, they often don't know how to help you or they start to get rude.Today, I had an issue where someone accidentally shipped 2 packages to me using Express mail packaging but with a regular Priority Mail labels, and the packages arrived with over $60 in postage due. Even though the post office had not shipped the packages in an Express fashion (they took 3 days to reach me rather than the overnight service that the huge fee would have paid for), they refused to release the packages to me. When I tried to take a picture of the packages, the post master snatched them away and said she couldn't let me touch them because I might try to take them and run.I have been going to this post office multiple times a week ever since I moved to Bellefonte over 6 years ago, and they still treated me like a criminal. I definitely don't feel like a valued customer here and when at all possible I try to use the post office in Lemont or State College instead.

I sent my package to the wrong address which didn’t even exist and I realized it after I was notified it was delivered. When I called the front desk lady was unbelievably helpful and kind. They were able to locate where the package had been delivered and it turned out the postal worker on the route recognized my intended recipients name, that the address was a bit incorrect and had already corrected the mistake and put it in the system. I went from panicking that I lost my sister’s gift to realizing just how organized and efficient the postal workers of Bellefonte are. Thank you for all that you do and for taking the stress out something that was entirely my own fault.

The front desk workers are usually pretty nice, however we have had our handicapped parking permit stolen - twice - by someone at the post office. It's either the Bellefonte office or Johnstown. Whatever person is responsible should be ashamed of themselves.

I constantly get mail that doesn't belong to me. This is an every day hassle, I have spoken to the carriers on 4 different occassions and have even gone into the office to complain to just be told, "they just look at the address." My mail box is labeled by a label I got from a carrier. I am a rural carrier for a different office so the lame excuses they keep giving me are unacceptable. I am frustrated and wondering how much of my mail has been lost at this point.

I received a notification of a delivered package, but the package wasn't anywhere near our house. I called the Bellefonte post office and their staff was able to sort it out for me in minutes! Turns out our carrier accidentally delivered to the wrong house, but he returned the same day and re-delivered to us. I thought this was going to be a long drawn out issue, but one phone call on my end, and everything was fixed. I was skeptical of a good outcome based on all the bad reviews, but at least some folks who work here *are* really trying to help.

We have nothing but good things to say about the Bellefonte post office. We haven't interacted much with our carrier/(s), because, well COVID, but every time we do see them, they're super nice and friendly. We occasionally get wrong mail (previous residents possibly?) on our email notifications (Informed Delivery) and the carrier sorts it out 9/10 times without delivering it, which is super! Admittedly we've had a lot of packages delivered this past year (online shopping and what not) and haven't lost any through the Bellefonte PO. Same thing sending things out - and I love that they do pickup requests. Seriously, these guys are awesome.
