At the Altoona PA store, I just bought some tax software. I realized that i couldn't use it due to missing state tax program. Store was out of the other brand (HR Block) that did have what i needed.Store associate did not inform me prior to purchase that the software i purchased could not be returned. Package was unopened and unused.This is the second instance for an issue on a product Best Buy sells. No more business for Best Buy

This site has a ton of potential. I am always fascinated by the magnitude of the inventory! Things are well organized, and displays allow you to read-and-learn on just about any subject. It's very clean and well kept. If they had more people with smiles and service oriented personalities, it would be a review with 5 stars. It's just a stretch for some of the "Geeks" to complete the "Total Package" loop. It was not a "Fail" visit, and I did get help. This young Gen has so much trouble with eye contact and concern for others. If you get into the cattle chutes and just wait, it'll probably work out for you. It can be a test of patience in this world when you drive 1-1/2 hours one way to get a lot done at many places and.... well.... you know what I'm saying. I do love the store! It's very impressive! It's sooooo close to a 5....

This place has only gone down hill since Covid. No sales people and if you need one you have to be added to a queue system. Trying to be an Apple store but with Dollar Store execution. The store appearance is horrible, the mess going on at the front desk whenever you walk in is the most unappealing and messy looking thing ever. Not to mention is so dusty and dingy looking. Their motto used to be try it before you buy it on Amazon, and my last visit made me want to just by it straight from Amazon and skip the try stage.

An employee (Mckay Skelton) from here got my wife's information and was spreading false rumors about me and harassing her. The unprofessionalisim from this employee is unreal. I'm not even sure how he still has a job.

Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Hardware installation was done same day in less than half hour. However, pc is still not working correctly.

I went in prepared to spend money on a new monitor or TV for my office as I was experiencing issues with the display settings of my laptop connecting to a tv. A person from the geek squad came out of the back and connected my laptop to an external monitor next to the checkout and showed me how to resolve my issue easily. This was on Christmas eve at 5pm! Amazing customer service. Thank You

Still have yet to get my refund from my purchase have contacted about 8 different ppl now between chat and phone. One person GABRRIEL said he would call me back and never did very disappointing

after waiting appox 30 minutes for the person in the phone area to wait on me watching him several time when coming my way to do just that and being stopped by other customers , he finally told me when i ask for service that he was too busy and maybe i should look else where, when i ask him his name he turned nasty and made remarks and finished by stating you have nice day when i stopped by the front desk and ask for the manager the young lady working the desk informed me she was the manager and the employee was doing his job and waiting on the customers as he was in charge of his area i was there to purchase a mesh router system for my business, i left there and went home got on amazon and purchased my system it was actually $50 cheaper there i guess when you want to buy a expensive item ,(it was $1500.00) you need to not waste your time with self proclaimed experts and just do your business where it is respected

They have plenty of things and my favorite part is no one here annoys or pesters you into buying something. Unlike the state college stores these guys are great, get in and out with what you need/want.

Where to begin? The store can have hardly any customers, and you stand there for at least 15-20 minutes waiting for help... Then the employees tell you that something isn't in stock, yet if you order it online, you can pick it up in an hour, then they make a big deal if you ask them to check if they have it somewhere. Order online, it's easier than going to this store.

Terrible experience in the pickup line, employee starts helping me and goes to look for my item and does not return. Multiple people get their items from other lines and leave. After asking what the hold up is another employee start to help me, but then asked me to step aside as i get my information on my phone again so he can help someone else. Really? Finally got my item. Worst BestBuy I have ever been to.

I don’t know how this place could have 4 stars when every time I go in here I get the absolute worst customer service ever. It’s like they are trying to be bad. I went to look at a laptop and no one was available to help me. I saw a store employee watching me as I looked at one of the laptops and as I walked towards her to ask a question she took off in the other direction. Ok these things happen..so I asked another employee he showed me what I was looking for which was locked behind a case..then promptly took off. I went in to return something. The line was unorganized people cutting in front of other people etc. I went in to look for a cord for my dual monitor and the employee assured me over again the one I was buying would not work for a dual monitor. I took it home and it did work. The return I tried to make was unopened and past the two week return policy and they would not make an exception. Fair enough I’ve never shopped at a place with such a narrow return window but ok whatever. So the young boy who is waiting on me says “no offense but if I bought something and it wasn’t the right part I’d return it the next day” so I also get a lecture from a 16 year old on my far from prompt return attempt. Great. Maybe I’m just used to shopping at nicer places with pleasant helpful employees but this place just seems abysmal. The only people that seem to have pleasant, basic social skills are the people that greet you at the door.

I think Best Buy in Altoona is probably the worst place I have ever bought anything though... Theirs customer service is atrocious after My experience with My JBL earbuds I personally will never buy anything in Best Buy again
