Ridiculous that there is one person manning the counter. Your at an airport schedule accordingly. I was here at the beginning of the month and rented with another company and it was smooth and easy. I booked a car rental with Dollar through my Expedia account months in advance, paid and all. I go to check in and moments after I completed it they forward the invoice and it's 5x more than I was quoted and paid. I had Expedia contact Dollar and they said the price is what it is due to high demand and proceeded to charge me $50 for cancelling. Never again, thank goodness for Enterprise.

If you use your own EZ pass, they will have a company called ATS charge you for the same tolls plus a surcharge on top of your EZ pass. Even if you register the rental car license plate to your EZ pass even if you use your own easy pass tag.

Check in was smooth, the car was great. But the car return process could not be more confusing. This may be more of an airport issue. It’s unclear on where to go or what to do.More signs are needed as well as a detailed email prior to return. I watched 4 other people immediately miss the lot, after I did, and drive around confused.Normally an attendant is there to help, but not this last time. They turned me away and told me to go find a spot? Thank god I got to the airport 3 hours early. 10/10 for pickup experience and the woman at the desk was wonderful.

This was my second trip to Allentown Pennsylvania. On my first visit I rented from a different car rental and everything went smoothly. My second visit i rented online the same as my first visit except this time i rented with Dollar car Rental. The representative at the desk was not helpful at all. Very slow paced and uninformative. First she stated it would be a $500 deposit because of my bank card. So i said ok just to continue with the process. She seemed surprised that I said ok. Either way she continues to then say they cant rent me a car? I asked why and she said she doesnt know that the company denied it (Dollar rental) (Hilarious) she then handed me a slip of paper then says i have to call them to find out why they denied it. I said okay a bit confused but i walked over to enterprise literally the next counter over and with zero issues left with a 2023 rental. It literally took less than 15 minutes. The reason for my review is to say knowledgable customer service goes a long way for a company. Also that caused me to spend more money towards another car rental because i had to wait for my original reservation to clear back to my account and its been approximately 3 weeks and i am currently still waiting for the refund.

Despite their public post offering assistance, the local Dollar rental office at ABE never responded to me or addressed the problem.We paid for the car in full upon pick up at LGA. We were charged an additional $289.00 for a "holding fee" and told that it would be credited when we returned the car to ABE Airport. Instead of a refund, Dollar at ABE charged us $289.00 again. I called to explain the error. The Dollar employee cut me off and said, "I don't do billing". I asked to speak to a supervisor. She refused to transfer the call and refused to give her name. In a snarky, sing-song voice she said, "So, bye-byeeeee" and hung up.This was a female employee at the Dollar counter at ABE on 8/2/23 at 3:10pm. I hope management at Dollar identifies her and sends her back to charm school.Response to Reply:Referring customers to a messenger app isn't an appropriate way to address a complaint. My issue is with an employee, not a bot. If you are genuine about addressing customer complaints, I left my name, reservation number, email address, and phone number with Hertz/Dollar at ABE Airport. I arranged for a rental online. Paid for 4 days and every thing set up. Went there to pick up the car and the desk clerk refused to issue me the car. She was actually dangling the keys in front of me. She told me that she had to charge me double then she told me that since I didn't fly in she couldn't let me have it. I will not be wasting my time with these people ever again.

I made arrangements to rent a car through Hotwire. com. Paid for it. When I tried to pick it up the desk clerk refused to issue it to me. Said sence I didn't fly in she wouldn't let me have it. I will never waist my time with these people again.

First class act! Due to an untimely weekend car accident, Dollar at ABE Airport was open and able to help get me into a rental. These ladies are an example of what GREAT Customer Service is all about! Warm greetings, smiling faces, and they quickly got the tasks done start to finish with each of my weekly rentals. Great cars, fair prices, and a very happy customer here. I would not hesitate to call upon them again for my next rental need! Shout-out to "B", Tara, Alize, and the rest of the team-keep doing what you're doing! ?

Rude people called to ask a simple question about deposits since the rental is included in the airfare the response from the woman? "I'm going to explain Don't ask any questions!!" Click? After that we will never give this company a Dime!!! Look somewhere else save yourself a lot of headaches!

Thrifty rental car at the airport is the worst! They never have the car you want. And then when you return the car they don’t log it in until two hours later and you get an extra charge for bringing it in late! Also when you use your own Ez pass you still wind up getting charges even though you don’t use their Ez pass! Worst rental car company I’ve ever experienced!

If I could give them a zero I would. We were charged an initial price of 435$ for a rental for four days seems like a fair price right ? We’ll they added up fees up to 477$ in addition to what we paid. We paid 950$ for a four day rental !!!!!!!! We waited 3 hours on line at MCO and then an additional hour to wait for the car seats we reserved that they didn’t have…. Garbage service rude people. STAY FAR AWAY !
