My husband and I have bought numerous appliances from Allentown Appliance. We were referred to this company by my father who is a carpenter and refers all of his customers needing appliances. We have not had a great experience. Our appliances are 8 years old, and everyone has been fixed numerous times starting within the 2nd year of having them. Our microwave had to be replaced and we went to Allentown Appliance and now 2 years later that needs to be replaced again. While I understand appliances get used very frequently, I just find it hard to believe that every appliance I get from this store always breaks quickly. I’ve bought from other big box companies and those last longer than this company. I understand they most likely get from a wholesaler but I just cant frequent this business anymore and risk losing hundreds of dollars.

Carolyn arranged for an alternate repair company (Honest Appliance Repair) to repair our Asko washer. The original repair company could not solve the problem. We also purchased a GE dishwasher and the installation went smoothly. Top notch people!

I am posting this review on behalf of my parents. In the beginning of December they went to Allentown Appliance for a new dishwasher & refrigerator. Their salesman Ed was great & the purchasing experience was good. The delivery teams for both items were great. However, after delivery of the refrigerator they realized it wasn't working. Food & perishable items went bad & or melted. The "women" in the office at Allentown Appliance are: rude, curt, sarcastic, & unsympathetic. My mother asked who'd be responsible for aprox $50 worth of spoiled food. Neither Allentown Appliance or Frigidaire will take blame! Allentown Appliance had to come back out to take that refrigerator & return it to Frigidaire & Allentown Appliance gave them a "sub" refrigerator for the time being, which was for about 3 weeks. My mother would call the office asking for updates & such regarding a new version of the same model refrigerator & the women were horrible, nasty, & at one point had my mother in tears after hanging up. All she wanted was updates on the status of the new "working" model & who would reimburse the lost food. With food prices now of days it is a great loss for them. Allentown Appliance blames Frigidaire & Frigidaire blamed Allentown Appliance. Allentown Appliance your customer service needs work we're sorry to say, for some of your staff. After all of this they are sorry for ever going to this business for their new appliances. This situation should have been handled more professionally! Do better...

I just purchased a dishwasher and there was an issue with the electrical system in my house. They didn’t leave me hanging and had an electrician stop by to sort it out. Their staff and service was very helpful, highly recommend. PS I’m never buying an appliance from a big box store ever again.

? WOW! Great experience! Prices are competitive with big box stores and the staff is knowledgeable! Our salesperson, Tammy was very helpful and patient with us as we were choosing products. We will definitely be going here for any future appliance purchases that arise.

My husband and I bought a refrigerator, microwave, oven and stove top from Allentown appliance. Unfortunately, what eas supposed to be a wonderful Christmas gift to our home has turned into a never ending run around. our oven and microwave were installed, but hey had to cut out a life of wood from our cabinet I order to make our new models appliances for. The order arrived December 8th, 2023. we are now in a new year and we are still waiting for the metal distributor to fill the hole has been left in our cabinet. Additionally, we received a dishwasher with a dented door. We are currently waiting for the door to be replaced. Our stove top never got installed because the wrong stove stop was sent die ton inaccurate measurements. So far, I am terribly disillusioned with this company and their sales person. We purchased a "floor model" Kitchen Aid refrigerator and dishwasher. The refrigerator has had problems multiple times.Honest Appliance who came out to service is top notch but after replacing every board in the unit, two weeks later it is not working.The refrigerator compartment will not drop below 49 degrees.Contacted the store and the repair people but they are backloggedand after over a week have not received a call to schedule a repair.They said we had 90 days to return it but when it broke down the first time and we said we just wanted to return they said we couldn't had to try repair first. Well we tried multiple times to repair.The unit is a lemon and needs to be replaced.UPDATE:After a week and a half of radio silence my wife called and was informed we were getting a new replacement. Will have to wait a week or two for it to arrive but I'll take it! Raises them to 3.5 stars for good customer service. Would be 4.5 if not for the poor communication.
