Positive vibes and lovely ladies. My stylist, Kate, gave me an excellent pixie cut. Maybe the best cut of my life. So flattering. She also gave me an eyebrow wax that make my eyes look wide awake. I've found my new hair home.

I made an appointment for a trim and color. Visit started off well enough. The atmosphere in the shop was friendly and welcoming.The shampoo girl was very very good. In fact, one of the best I've had in awhile. My color came out okay. The problem came in with the haircut. It was absolutely terrible. After Dina, the owner, cut my hair, as she was styling it I noticed that she started combing my hair toward the right. That was puzzling as I wear my hair short and natural. Just natural curls and I usually get shape ups.I didn't give it too much thought tho, I just figured that she wasn't too good at styling natural hair and I would re-style it when I got home. Well, as it turned out, my hair was cut crooked with one side significantly longer than the other. The other side was much shorter. So short in fact that I couldn't go to the barber shop to have them fix it because they would have to cut it more to blend it in. That can't happen because I already can see my scalp in some places. So I now have uneven hair that looks a mess. I have to wait for it to grow in some before it can be evened out. That is why she was combing my hair to the right! I would have felt better had she owned up to her mistake, apologized & not charge me for the cut and I would have probably come here again. Just not for a trim/cut. But to try to hide it & have a customer leave like that was not good business at all. If you can't do what is being asked just be straight up and tell a customer. I could have gotten it cut somewhere else & then colored here. You would have retained a customer. Note: I did not go back to her to fix it because at that point I didn't feel that she could correct it or she wouldn't have let me leave like that.

Absolutely the worst hair salon I've ever been to. I was a walk-in to get my dreads worked on. The lady that does them wasn't there so another lady that works there called her up. After talking with Laquita on the phone and asking her questions, she said she COULD do what I was needing. She set me up an appointment. I come in for my appointment and met Laquita. I asked her again if she knew the "interlocking " dread method. She admitted she did not. I knew I should have left right then. I decided to give her a chance. Laquita took me back to wash my hair and proceeded to give me the MOST PAINFUL hair wash I've ever experienced, she was digging her nails so far into my scalp(I would later notice when I got home, that she had made me bleed). and that I would have scabs for a week. During the wash, she had literally pulled hair OUT OF MY Locs. She then began to work on my dreads and did such a shitty half a** job that when she finally showed me with a mirror, My locs were SO MUCH WORSE then they were before I went in. She lied about knowing the technique I was asking about and did such a terrible job with her "palm rolling " to the point where she probably only did 1/2 of my Locs. It was by far, the worst experience I've had in my 13 months of having my dreads. I highly recommend staying AWAY from this place if you're wanting to get your dreads worked on. Again, it was my own fault for putting trust into someone that should not be working on dreads in the first place. Never again.
