Mr. Childs is by far the most caring, knowledgeable person regarding anything with an engine. Willing to show and educate without feeding you lines. The only mechanic I go to. Always willing to help, whilst providing personable, kind service. A1+!

Bill was totally dishonest about his work. Took my truck in for a head gasket job. Kept feeding me a line that the machine shop was way behind. Had my truck for 3 months and never touched it. Yet he told me that my heads were at the machine shop and that the block would need to be bored out. If in fact this was true he would of had my truck for 4 months. Head gasket job is about a 22 hour job. You do the math. Go to JB Power if you need your Ford worked on.Service: Engine repair

Took my Ford F250 Turbo in for a new head gasket in September of 22'. Bill informed me of all sorts of machine shop delays. He had informed me that my heads weren't warped and they were being machined. He also told me my block would need to be machined. January of 23' he said it would be 4 weeks before I would get my block back because the machine shop was behind. I went down on the sixth of January noticed my radiator was still on my truck. Bill told me he was going to take out my motor to work on it that it was easier to work on it from a engine stand. I'm no diesel mechanic but I would find it hard to believe that you could remove the engine without taking off the radiator and oil cooler off first. I peeked under my hood he hadn't even touched the engine. Do you really want to use this guy?

I absolutely love bill child's he might be the only honest mechanic I know of he does good work and is a hard worker. If u have the time to take your vehicle there well it's worth the wait he can fix anything and at an affordable cost. Also you can take any unwanted used oil here and he will dispose of it for u at no cost. I highly recommend child's Auto repair to anyone.

What a joke! I went in for a clutch inspection on my truck and a new one was recommended. I was told that it would be done by a certain time. Days later my truck still sat in their lot untouched and the clutch kit wasn't even ordered. The bottom line is that I was lied to several times. I wouldn't take my rig there even if it was for free because Bill Childs is untrustworthy as they come and you will never get what you were told you would. My buddy had the exact same experience here. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.Service: Vehicle Inspection

We took are Dodge pickup in for repairs and Bill had it for 6 weeks. He knew we needed it back on a time frame. At about 3 weeks in we found out that he did not even have it in the shop. He parked it on a side street. I stopped and asked why it was taking so long. He said that we was behind and had run in to some problems. I advised that he should be honest and up front about that. People would understand, I asked for an honest time frame. he said that we would have it by Saturday. End of the 4th week. We stopped in Sat to see how things were going. There was another truck in the bay, happened to talk to the guy. He said that yesterday his truck blew a spark plug and called Bill and was told to stop in Sat. When he was done with this guys truck, we pulled our truck in the bay. He said that he would have it done By Monday evening This is the start of week 6. Monday came and we went over there. Truck is parked out front. Talked to Bill and he said that he ran in to a few issues. We said that we needed it by Friday, He said that he would have it done. Friday came it it was still not done. He said that we could use his truck since was not done with ours. We took him up on the offer. We stopped on Sat after got back to town. He was working on yet another vehicle and ours was still parked out front. He said no later that Sun. Tried to call so not to Drive clear across town, He would not answer his work # or Cell #. On Monday the end of 6th week since truck was still setting out front we stooped and he gave some more excuses as to why it was not done. We decided to take the truck and go some where else. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.
