As a new player of MtG, this shop is wild! So helpful and ethical. They cared more about me having fun while learning the game rather than making money off of me. I mean, they cautioned me against dumping a ton of money on the hobby before I truly knew if I would longterm enjoy it.

Check Out situation is a mess. Streamline purchasing process is such a necessity. Would be nice if cashiers would say if they’re coming back to help the next person in line, instead of walking off into an endless abyss.

Great local gaming store with a huuuuge stock of board games of all kinds! Always packed with people playing cards games, and they regularly hold tournaments on various games. For miniature lovers, they have a ton from all the best games: D&D, Warhammer, Star Wars, etc

Stopped in to buy sealed pokemon cards and left empty handed. The prices are 2-3x higher than online and other shops. For example, the silver tempest etb was $90. They're 25-30 online and 30-40 in other shops. Other than that, the shop looked nice and had a ton of different collectable/trading card related items.

Owners, management, please: your shop is amazing, but trying to check out is a mess. PLEASE streamline the purchasing process. Where/which is the queue to purchase? Who is a cashier/clerk and whom is too busy helping others with info? There have been multiple times where I thought I was next in line, but then the cashier seems uncertain WHO is next, so I get skipped over.
When I come there, it would be nice to grab what I want, pay for it, and leave within a handful of minutes. Currently things are a tad too messy.

Family atmosphere, perfect place in Salem for comics, trading cards and gaming events for Magic The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon and much much more! Love this place!

If it weren't for a few isolated bad experiences and overpriced sealed (Pokemon) product, WTG would be a 5 star business for me. It's a wonderfully laid out and kept shop, and most of the employees are helpful, patient, and engaged.
Their sealed products--for Pokemon, at least--are not sold (as they claim) at current market prices as determined by TCGPlayer. For example, I informed an employee that the Pokemon 151 ETB they have for sale for 90 dollars is wildly off--they said they'd bring it to the attention of management, but weeks later it's still $90 on the website. To me this seems dishonest, as a less knowledgeable customer might not realize that the price disparity likely comes from the (almost identical) Pokemon Center Exclusive ETB which does retail for closer to $90. That is not what WTG is selling, however.
This is the most egregious example, I'm happy to say. I understand that a small business does have to markup to sustain itself. Their prices on Pokemon card singles do reflect market price; just make sure you are informed before buying sealed product.

They changed their pricing on vintage Pokemon singles, now they are higher than Addictive Behaviors and Guardian. I will no longer support this business. Really disappointed as they had some of the best prices outside of eBay
