lol walked by this place today and remembered the time awhile back when they had a cheap oil change coupon in the local ad rag. so i went in for one. they told me they could get me an appointment a month out. even though 3 guys were sitting around doing nothing. i laughed and left and never have or will consider them for anything ever again. lol.

Taking almost 2 weeks for a 2 day wiring job. Keep being told 2 days every 2 days. Getting kind of ridiculous

Took a car in for a used car inspection. They didn't lift it at any point so they seemed to just be guessing ("we probably need to replace your tie rods but don't know which part or which wheel cause we didn't look" etc). Mechanic told us the car was a CVT and quoted us for CVT fluid. We popped the hood and there was a regular automatic transmission in there. This kind of damaged their credibility for me. They are nice and the experience was good but I do feel I was overcharged. $150 is pretty standard for a used car inspection but only for a thorough one. They should have charged half that to do what they did. I am very glad I went, but I wouldn't go again

They have always been willing and happy to answer all my questions. The work is done in a very timely manner, and I've yet to be disappointed. Great communication with customers.

11/9/22: I barely limped into Harold’s lot to inquire about repairing my rough running GMC Sierra. I spoke with Elliot and he said they were scheduled 2 ½ weeks out. Thinking I would try my luck at another shop, my truck refused to leave their lot and I opted not to have it towed to another shop but instead, to put myself in the queue.11/22/22: Got my first call from Elliot telling me what the rough running issue was and he also informed me that my truck was vandalized while on their lot and that one of my widows was broken. I was quoted a cost for the engine repair as well as the cost for replacing the window. I later learned that two vehicles were vandalized on 11/17 and that Harold’s does not have liability insurance that covers damage to customer’s vehicles. Nor do they notify the police if a customer’s vehicle is vandalized at their shop—that’s the customer's responsibility.11/30/22: Got my final call from Harold’s letting me know the repairs were finished but they suspected that my battery was bad because it wouldn’t hold a charge. My truck would start with a jump but wouldn’t hold a charge and I was quoted almost $240 for a new battery and install. I declined because I wanted a second opinion thinking I would just drive it the short distance to Les Schwab to have them test it, which I did the following day and the battery tested to be in good condition.Harold’s did fix my engine problem but unfortunately I had to pay an additional $373 because my vehicle was unsafe on their lot and was vandalized; and, they tried to get me to pay for a new battery when my old one was fine. I would not recommend Harold's.Services: Auto side window replacement

Had a heater core and hoses replaced a couple years ago. Recently had additional heating/cooling/radiator issues that I got repaired at another shop. I was told my cooling system was inundated with "stop leak" which I have never used and it caused other problems. I don't know for sure who used the stop leak, but I never have. I suspect that there was a leak they could not fix and stop leak was used.Service: Engine repair
