I ended up spending the night at Mercy back in 2011. Very memorable. I had gotten sicker after rounds of antibiotics. Something was really wrong, so I checked into the hospital. Some of the staff seem like they are very professional but other seem adversarial. The next morning as I was eating, a woman walked in my room asking "any complaints?". I assumed she was referring to the food and answered "no". It was a trick to discharge me early. And it was on my medical record that I had no complaints the next day. Also, I noticed some unusual inappropriate smiling. I felt quite ill and some of them were just smiling at me to the point it seemed really odd. Discharging doctor said (with a huge smile) everything would just go away by itself, but I had ongoing problems for a very long time.

Had the best experience while bringing my son into the world. Huge kudos to the nursing staff and the physicians for the exceptional care of not only myself but my child's. Thank you Mercy!

I was an Ic U for 3 days and I've never been taken that good of care and any of the hospitals on Southern Oregon. Great doctors, great nurses wish I lived closer.

This is an incredible institution, that is made up of local community members. These people serving you are also your neighbors. We are fortunate to have such a magnificent facility.

they need to do better and get people who care, I gave birth to my 3rd child here and it was my worst experience. There was no hot water to shower. Our garbage was not touched for 4 days. The nurse did not take responsibility for discharging me, and put the blame on my Doctor it was clear the nurse did not respect the Doctors . I had to stay for about a week due to my baby having jaundice due to my discharge they denied me medication. I asked the anesthesiologist while signing what would happen if i didn't sign the paper for my epidural and he responded rudely and i did not appreciate it while being in such a vulnerable state. After birth my placenta did not come out so i was offered Fentanyl for the pain there excuse was it would be the quickest drug to come out of my system. i neber knew how good i had it in my hometown hospital. this establishment should be ashamed . there really was only 1 nurse i appreciated i want to say her name was Victoria she picked up all the garbages and fixed my shower so i could finally shower after 4 days she made me comfortable and made me feel seen she told me if i needed anything to not be afraid to say something since i was in there care but sincerely i did not feel comfortable being honest considering my baby was in this hospitals care . there was 1 nurse who would throw garbage towards the trash , miss and not have the decency to at-least pick it up. I know nurses have different rounds but they would assign me 2 nurses at times and they did so poorly communicating amongst each other they would come in and ask the same questions it eventually got confusing. i could not tell if this hospital sucked or me getting treated poorly had something to do with me being Mexican i hope no one experiences such a poor experience and i advise if you could go somewhere else you should.

Worst hospital and emergency staff ever. My nephew spent 12 hours there needing to be drained of the poisons in his abdomen. Only to leave with no help and unable to breath. I was at this hospital as well when I had covid they sent me home with instructions to come back if my oxygen was below 90 only it already was. Also when in was in ICU in distress the staff were playing on there chair's. Well now it is the next day and at river bend and they were able to do in2 hours what Mercy could not do in 13 hours. What a joke.

I admitted myself into the emergency at Mercy hospital due to a serious shallow breathing issue. They were very professional and extremely caring from when I admitted myself and during the 4 days they kept me there. They accurately diagnosed the problem and treated me accordingly. When I left the hospital I was feeling great. Much thanks to the doctors and especially the nurses who were especially caring.

If I could give Mercy ER reception a 0 I would. Your ER receptionist is very rude and the most in compassionate person I have ever spoken to. If she wants to treat family member like they don’t matter then maybe she should get a job talking to dirt, because that how she made me feel. I understand great customer service. I have worked in health care for a long time and never have I come across a person like her. She should be sent to customer service training. And I pray her family member is not in an ER alone and the receptionist won’t even pass a message along to the care team.

I work here. The nurses and staff are just as good as large, academic centers. My family is treated here. I feel 100 % comfortable with going here. The mercy family is the Douglas County family.
