I saw Dr. Kafi prior to Covid. He was very personable as was his assistant and his office staff. I recently returned for some minor issues. He remembered me and greeted me warmly. His staff was still personable as before. He explained everything and answered all my questions. I am going to refute a former review about Dr. Kafi fat-shaming. I weigh more than my ideal. He never said anything to me about weighing more than I probably should. He answered several skin care questions I had. He and his assistant explained after care for the procedure I had. The information was clear and simple and easy to understand. He also followed up with me via MyChart. I would return to this practice again.

DR. ZHUThis review is specifically for Dr. Zhu-I give Dr. Zhu, his MA and the reception 5 stars because I have no reason not to. I showed up for my appointment just a few minutes early and checked in with no problem. I sat down and waited for maybe two or three minutes and my name was called. The medical assistant, I’m sorry I don’t remember her name, was very pleasant, thorough and to the point. Within just a couple of minutes, Dr. Zhu came into the exam room, and he had already taken a look at my chart. He was personable, pleasant, kind and he listened to me.Dr. Zhu gave me the reassurance I needed (that my skin was irritated but not burned). This was wonderful news, yes. But mostly he didn’t seem dismissive about my concerns. Our appointment was quick, but that’s all we really needed. I don’t feel that it was rushed. I was out the door in about less than 15 minutes from arriving.AVOID DR KAFI IF YOU CANIf you’re a new patient and are looking to establish care with a dermatologist at this particular location, I do not recommend Dr. Kafi. Reza Kafi seems to let his fat phobia and obvious intolerance dictate his behavior towards patients. Dr Kafi has said some pretty offensive things and has had a poor attitude towards me, blaming ALL of my skin issues on my weight. (I’m 30 lbs over my prime/ideal weight).Dr Kafi prescribed a couple of new medications on my first visit with zero communication about how or when to use the prescriptions. Dr. Kafi gets zero stars from me. His wait times are excessively long. His language is harsh and offensive. He is dismissive and my second appointment lasted 4 minutes the last time I saw him. The first two minutes of that appointment he spent telling me how I needed to see him once a year to get refills. Obviously, I already knew that or I would not have gone to see him at all. So he spent half of our 4-minute appointment telling me what the front desk had already told me over the phone and the other two minutes commenting on my weight. It was so uncomfortable. I remember reading somewhere that he did really well in school. Well, doing well in school does not necessarily translate to good bedside manner for patients.I do recommend Dr. Zhu if you want to be treated with the basic level of decency and respect as a human being.

Saw Dr. Zhu. Was in the appointment for maybe 7 minutes total and was initially prescribed the only medication I am allergic too (guess he didn't review my chart beforehand) and then seemed flustered after I said I was allergic to it and it was listed on my chart. He seemed extremely nervous the entire time and rushed, got told that a hormonal issue I had been dealing with for the past 4 months wasn't why I was experiencing the symptoms I had and he recommended more products I have already tried and didn't work (also listed on my chart). I was then given a generic packet to take home. Felt like my issues weren't addressed or respected, will definitely not be seeing him again. Front desk staff were nice but it was pretty hard to schedule an appointment to see anyone, expect to be looking at least 5 months out. :(

Dr. Coffee was in for 3 minutes and didn't explain the abcde of skin cancer or why it didn't pertain to me. He said to come back if it was growing, bleeding, or itching but didn't measure to know if there was growth.

The best thing about coming here was the nurse Sarah who consistently took care of me with a kind and patient attitude. Absolutely loved her! I saw Dr. Kafi who is an great doctor - very good at explanation and on top of medication

Very happy with Sunset Dermatologiy. Dr. Steven's is very professional but also personable. She did a thorough examination, addressed my problems and welcomed any questions and concerns.

I am surprised at the other reviews here. I have had the best doctor experiences with Dr. Megan Mudrick and Johnathan Fordyce here. They take their time, they are analytical and thorough, they listen super well, and followup. If I email a question through my chart, I have an answer back incredibly fast. They are great at getting me in to be seen and prompt once I am there. They have worked with me on both chronic things, injuries, and general wellness, including helping me reduce prescription charges and get referrals for tests and surgeries. In one case, another doctor I had been referred to at the Oregon Clinic got test results that could have indicated a really serious health concern but wasn't following up promptly and after too much time was going by, Dr. Mudrick stepped in, ordered a followup test and we were able to rule things out. In another case, one of the DOs helped with a chiropractic adjustment on the spot when Dr. Mudrick suggested that as the next step. The front desk staff is always respectful and kind and the back of office in terms of dealing with refills and questions is great. I totally recommend Dr. Mudrick and her team.

I had an appointment with Dr. Cindi Chapman at 7:30am (first appointment of the day) and was refused to be seen because I was 8 mins late. I had driven all the way from out of town and it was pouring heavily. The doctor was very inconsiderate. I had 22 mins remaining in my appointment but the doctor and her assistant were busy doing other things (no idea what they were up to in my appointment time!). Extremely disappointing service, doctor and her assistant.

such a weird experiencethey charge ridicules amounts for a first visit and any little question or minor treatment is in the hundreds of dollars.a single 10 minute session cost me nearly 1000$,i couldn't believe itlet me disclose my appointmentmy physician recommended removing some skin tags and a wart by myself at homenever the lessi decided to go to the sunset dermatologyi saw a dermatologist which told me exactly what my physician already told me.the dermatologist said he will do it in another session once i get from my insurance a cost estimate.than he said, you can take care alone of the wart, buy some wart remover from amazon and do it yourself at home.then he showed me the liquid nitrogen, suggested he'll put some on my finger...400$ they charged me for that alone!yes 400$! for a few seconds of liquid nitrogen on my finger!1000$ for single useless visitdo yourself a favor, save your money...

Dr.Ellen Bautista was the worst doctor I've ever met. She made me want to kill myself after seeing her. I had so many issues, and she would tell me my issues were because I have an eating disorder. (I never once had an eating disorder causing me severe depression) Every single time I would leave my appointment I would be in tears. She is a danger to society. Telling someone "Oh well I've had every disease in the Phillipines so you are fine" should be illegal. Fast forward 4 years, I'm at ohsu with a specialized team of 6 doctors, and been diagnosed with POTS, EDS, Dysautonomia, Gastroparesis, Hypermobility, and PTSD. Dr. Bautista, I will never forget how horrible you made me feel. I hope you live with the fact you are a horrible disgusting person who should not be a doctor. I pray for your patients, because they are not getting the care they should. Please please do not go to her, even if you are dying. She will laugh in your face and say "well in the phillipines we die all the time!" Providence lost all my trust after seeing her, I am so happy I switched to OHSU.

I have had years of care from Providence internal medicine and have greatly enjoyed my provider Dr. Jean Lee. She is practical, friendly and research-based. Kudos! What is difficult is how large the organization is. If I want my labs or additional help, it takes awhile to answer and many times it is uninformed, canned responses. As a whole the staff interaction can feel impersonal with shunting to other departments or clinics. Just an FYI of the good and bad with a large healthcare org.

Agree with poor reviews below. Skin check with a basal cell carcinoma on lab results. Believe it or not I had entire skin check , a shave biopsy and made follow up appointment in 11 minutes. 10 am appointment was in my car headed home at 10:11am. Frightened poor physician care and a $736 dollar bill. A year they just do corpse ethic care because they know very little about skin cancer.
