Our initial move in was a bit of a fumble. We made one trip mid-week and returned with a truck over the weekend only to find that their power was out. This meant no elevators or access to our storage unit. This lasted for 3 days. At no time was there an email delivered or a sign put up outside. Customers such as ourselves found out upon arrival. I mentioned to the office manager at the time that an email or text notification would have been nice. She didn’t have a response.
We since have had a great experience with Melanie in the short time she has been the new property manager. She provides timely responses and genuine customer service. Thank you!
The NSA corporate approach to rent increases is unbelievable. I have left a separate review for corporate, and if the review process would allow zero stars, that is what corporate would have gotten. Moving my stuff out before I get hit with my 3rd rate increase in 16 months. At 46% increase in 16 months is ridiculous.

I have nothing good to say about the corporate approach of NW Self Storage. I emailed their Escalations Department my concerns when after 10 months, my rent had increased by 36%. The only consistent responses that I received had nothing to do with my concerns, rather notice of yet ANOTHER RENT INCREASE!. After 16 months of business, my rent will have increased by 46%. Feeling strong armed and frustrated for their lack of response, I gave them my notice to vacate. If I could leave zero stars for the review, I would have.

BEWARE! This storage facility appears to have the predatory business practice of raising your rent, after only two months of renting...right when you get comfortable. I was notified of a 30% increase after only two payments!

Unbelievable experience… Always helpful. The process of payment, access to unit and questions needing to be answered all handled in a timely manner. when you go there, it doesn’t feel like a big corporate entity. It feels like a family run business… I highly recommend to anyone this location and company.. is there any way to give more than five stars? A great example on how to operate a business and help people… It shows. they care.

I’m out of town for several months and Marianne contacted me regarding an issue with the lock on my storage unit. She was very nice in helping me to resolve the issue.

Business did the classic bait and switch. I called on a Friday to find out my balance and was given an amount I needed to pay. I agreed to pay the amount given to me by their representative and asked if I could pay that amount on Tuesday, after the banking holiday. I was told that would be just fine, she was very pleasant.I call on Tuesday morning and am told a balance that is over $100 more than then I was told when I called previously. I explained to who I assume is the owner of the business that I was given an amount I needed to pay and was told that I could pay that amount on Tuesday. He then lectured me about their costs and expenses and told me that I needed to pay the new balance or my storage would go to auction. I explained again that his employee told me an amount that I needed to pay on Tuesday and the amount he was asking for was much, much more. He did not care. Would not even consider honoring what his companies representative had told me, essentially going back on the companies word. This is a classic bait and switch. I paid the increased amount and plan on pulling everything out of his storage facility.

They can't seem to keep their doors open. Rarely is anyone ever in the office to show a space. Ignore the stated hours on the door. This facility is running on auto pilot. Office closed Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday and any other day they decide not to come in. It's hit or miss.

PROs * Really great staff! Friendly, helpful, they go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. * Reasonable on-site office hours. * Lots of security cameras. * Staff does walk-through to check units for break-ins or tampering, and will call if anything is amiss. * Frequently offer discounts/incentives to new customers. * They offer an auto-pay option. CONs * The building is really cold in the winter and really hot in the summer. * Only one elevator (and it's S-L-O-W) * End of 2023 they raised rates with less than 30 days notice. The increase was "excessive" (my increase was + $40 per month)

i will never ever rent a storage from nw storage again,,its in gresham on nw division st ,, i needed storage for just 3 months got qouted on line for 67 dollars so i called my insurance company to fax over my renter insurance policy ,, so the next day i go to nw storage and told them i needed a 5x5 storge it was suppose to be 67 dollars ,, but apparently they did not reacive my renters insurance info so i had to pay 76 so i payed it and called my insurance company to resend my renters insurance and the next month it went down to 67 dollars which i was qouted on line when i reserved the storage unit ,,, then 2 month went by and i got a card in the mail from nw storge stating it will go back up to 76 dollars aug 2nd 2022,, i said wtf is going on so i am going to move my items from my storage and rent next door from a differnt storage company , from p****c- storage company right next to nw storage,,
