Owner was very rude, and they either overcharged me or don’t update their price tags. Also witnessed the owner loudly berating a young female employee, which is just not a good look in my opinion. Won’t be going back. The Plaid Pantry a few blocks away has far nicer employees, and better prices.

Owner was rude and marks up the price way too much. I've lived on campus for a little over year and am often in and out of the mini mart. The owner is obviously running a shady business and also doesn't treat his employees or customers with any respect. Wish I could rate -1 stars

Wish I could report a more pleasant experience, but the cashier this evening accused me of stealing on my way out of the store. A quick question asking if I needed help or found what I was looking for could reliably fall under good customer service. I did not get that. Rather, I got a more sordid experience, where this person's perception and incredibly inaccurate assessment have left me undeniably sure that I will not be returning. But also, I am upset and solely responsible for the anger and the subsequent harm, mental and physical, that this experience has left me with. Dramatic? Maybe. But it happened and perhaps others would like to know about it. That's all.

Should be 0 stars for customer service. They should recognize that everyone regardless of what they buy or don't buy could be a loyal customer. Instead, I'm happy to tell 100+ people with a domino affect socially how bad this place is....

The location and the wide beer and snack selection kept me coming back despite the fact that every item has a 25 to 30% mark-up, but the staff is what made me stop shopping here, from the was the teenager who lets her friends cut in front of you in line, to the older middle-aged woman who is terse to the point of being rude with customers, or the younger guy with the shaved head who only works on weekends and likes to tell customers racist jokes. Also, don't buy any perishable food here that isn't refrigerated; you will probably find mold in it.

Awesome Mini Mart by PSU. Cozy, convenient, and packed with good vibes. Trust me, if you're a PSU student or live near PSU, give it a go. Great selection of snacks, ramen and beer. The people who run this have been very helpful and friendly. And easily accessible to Tri-met

They changed their hours and did not update google so I drove all the way there and they were closed.It's actually a cool mini mart though because part of the shop is a head shop that sells reasonably priced bongs and stuff.

Every time I go into this little piece of heaven I fall in love again. Yeah there's a great selection. Yeah they have a smoke shop. Yeah. But that beauty they have working the register assaults my senses just the way I like it. My heart burns for you the way it does for Haribo berries and rice Krispy treats. I'm sure you have some lamo boyfriend that wears skinny jeans and plays a whole lot of Minecraft. I'm sure he looks great in his vintage Nirvana t-shirt that he paid $79 for on Hawthorne. But I look better in the Nirvana t-shirt I bought in 6th grade for $11 . And I still have a pair of jncos to go with it. Drop the zero. Get with a 41 year old hero. ****sigh*****

I've been here several times since I moved to Portland last year. The prices are a bit high, but they have a good selection. That said, today when I was checking out and the clerk started opening a bag for me, I pointed at it and said, "I'm ok." He paused for a couple seconds, so I said, "I don't need a bag, thanks." His reply was, "Use your words, not gestures. That's really annoying." Well, here I am using my words...again. Now, I work as a cashier at a supermarket myself, so I get it. We deal with shoplifters and unreasonable people all the time, but maybe if you want to retain your honest, paying customers, a little more tact would be useful. I know my boss would have a word with me, if he got wind of such an exchange. I'll have to rethink coming here again.

The last 3 times I've been in the smoking section was closed off.....was told 2 people need to be working in order to get anything because someone needs to watch the cash register at all times...... No one else but me and the cashier were inside the shop. I live right around the corner so was a regular customer before today.
