This hotel was awesome! Every day there is complemntary coffee and cider in the lobby, free wine tastings in the evening, and you recieve a daily money credit that stacks and can be used on multiple things. Everyone here was very friendly, especially Mike who gave us a bottle of wine after a small hot water issue in our room. He continued to reappear in our stay and always made his best effort to ensure we were having a great trip. We hope to come back again very soon!
Safety: Felt fairly safe in the area(8/10), homeless are pretty docile and tend to be nonaggressive
Walkability: So many close restaurants and light activities. Close to public transportation

Loud and the bed wasn't conformable ..you can hear everything happening in the lobby while inside your room . For some obnoxious reason there is a pool table on the second floor that is open till at least 11 o'clock ,the sound of clacking pool balls echoing up to the 3rd floor and probably beyond kept my wife and I up till midnight....this excludes the music witch finished around midnight and restarted at 6:30AM.
In the morning at the front desk I mentioned the noise and 1/4 gap in the door of room 308 and i told the dude I was pissed..His response was courteous, telling me he'd have maintenance look at the door and that he'd had other people mention this joint being loud...
IDK but maybe there is a problem if the front desk guy confirms it's loud and that people have complained repeatedly ...?
*Reminder :this is a hotel and not a small lame club or pool hall that operates in an open atrium inside a hotel.
Right, management?
Honestly, I like having fun as much as the next guy. but I'm also a professional who's traveled a ton and values sleep over any other commodity offered by a hotel.
We've stay at many Kimptons this was an all time low..we will not be back.
Date stayed 10/29/24

Wonderful time spent on our aniversary here. The room was perfect untill it leaked water from room above in the middle of the night, which was a mess but didnt harm our fun at all. Would consider staying again. The wine tasting was fun and the game room was a good space to spend time in. Lots to look at and generally a lovely place.

Personalized service. Clean, comfortable, and unique bedrooms and style. We were in town to see a show. And the Vintage became our main hub. The free wine social in the lobby, and the free spirit tasting next door were a great inclusion we were not expecting. I would definitely stay here again.
Rooms: Unique and comfy
Nearby activities: Music, shows, dining, bars. That's entertainment!
Walkability: Anything you could want to do is within walking distance. Most just outside the front door.
Food and drinks: Free wine social hour and free spirits tasting next door. Nice, little lobby bar. Restaurant attached, with plenty more all within a couple blocks.

Beautiful property and amazing staff!!
Unfortunately, we did have issues with HVAC noise. I had informed the FD but, it did look quite busy looks like they had a rush I get it they possibly forgot to note it down. It’s fine I’m still alive.
Note to the staff: Make it better for the next guest ?
Anyways, throughout the night I was like the rotisserie chicken at Costco tossing and turning. Avoid the room on the 4th floor by the stairs ?
For any special requests just based off experience you should put requests in 1 hour prior to your needs.
As much as I should be upset about this there is not much they can do for me now..
Thank you Kimpton Vintage!

The Kimpton hotel its the same hotel we stayed at in Seattle the day before, but the one in Portland seems more casual. We booked a Suite, but they said it was a computer error and they could not be provided. So they suggested a grade room. I said ok. But when we entered the room the smell was terrible, we asked to change the new room’s sound of AC is intolerable too loud. Even turning off the switch the sounds continued. I asked if there was more quite room, and they said, “We already gave you an upgrade. This is how our AC works.” I explained it was not an upgrade, it was a downgrade from our original room. They showed me another room, but we could not find a quiet one so we put up with it; I would not recommend staying again.

Super fun and quirky hotel. My wife and I went here for her birthday and it was a run experience. Beautiful views of downtown Portland and a fun bar with unique drinks.

We unfortunately had the opportunity to stay at this property for 3 days. It has many issues that needs recovery to be a good hotel.
No benefits explanation at check-in either for Amex hotel collection stays or IHG loyalty, no mention of amenities fee which doesn't make sense as they have the standard Kimpton benefits and nothing different but with an added fee at checkout. There is no housekeeping during the stay.
Bathrooms are nasty, they have the dispensers in the shower with fungus and bacteria that makes one want to throw up. The breakfast was ok and the restaurant is only open for breakfast. I would not recommend staying at this property.

Disappointed and don’t recommend. 1) Rooms are old and smelly regardless of design. Not worth the price. 2) Lack of cleanliness. The shampoo, shower gel dispensers are absolutely gross. Imagine reaching for soap and seeing brown bacteria with your shower gel?!? (See video for proof) 3) housekeeping did not service our room not one single time during our entire stay. Why?? There was no information provide at check in nor in the room to indicate that they don’t clean rooms during one’s stay. 4) Amenity fee is basically requiring you to pay $29 for WiFi, lobby coffee and wine hour that you may not go to. With status, one typically gets most of these perks without needing to pay extra. Breakfast was nothing special. Overall, don’t recommend.
Rooms: Cleanliness is lacking. Dirty shampoo and soap dispensers. No housekeeping done during stay

The lobby and decor are very cool and the wine themed decor is delightful. The rooms are named for local vineyards and wineries, and they have complimentary tastings from 5:00 to 7:00. Very posh and cheeky!

Hotel was great for the price, everyone working there was great. Only eating 4 stars because our room was not cleaned and we were then told it must be requested. rj at the bar was very nice and friendly, would come back

My first time at Kimpton Hotel Vintage was a very positive one and I look forward to coming back!
Special shoutout to Tobby (spelling?) at the front desk who welcomed me back after dinner. He greeted me as if we were long-time friends, knew the details of my stay, & was a pleasure to interact with.
My room was spacious, bar has a good selection of liquor and quality mixers + seating area was comfortable.
The kitchen at the attached restaurant was slow during breakfast but food was good and I would go back.
Overall, interesting design, good location, and very good staff!
Food and drinks: Good gin selection + fever tree tonic water
