The staff was very rude and disorganized. When i asked the walk up window person how this bank worked, he looked at me like i grew a second head. When i finally got to the door, they made me take a number, which is fine, but the door person couldn't keep track of what numbers she called or didn't and let people who were after me in before me (after waiting 30 minutes in 40 degree weather). They crammed people into a tiny waiting space where the disorganization became way more apparent. They made the only black person in the room wait the longest. The staff member who was "helping" me shop was extremely rude and kept pushing and rushing me (my partner and I have dietary restrictions that I was trying to accommodate and feeling pressured made me panic).
I was so happy to fill up two bags with non perishables! And that's ALL I got because they were so disorganized I didn't want to get the fresh food.
HOWEVER when I got home more than HALF of the food was expired!
This isnt how you help people in need of food. Just because people are in need doesn't mean they deserve expired food and poor treatment. I've been to other food banks and have even volunteered at places less of a mess than this. Do better.

I've been in a couple times when I wanted some help with food/groceries. Staff and people are nice and friendly.

Very rude lady as a volunteer when simply asking if there was was grab and go. She directed to another place for grab and go was very rude about it. It was a simple polite question. This was where they were distributing bags by the way. Never made it through the line

This is a helpful place and I say that because I cannot stand in the cold or on my feet for long periods of time. I have a home-care worker who is able to get my food for me while I wait in the car… Thank you so much for all the conveniences for accessing this food bank like no other. ?

Nice Place To Get Free Food! They Have Chef Boyardee Spaghetti & Meatballs Which Is My Favorite!? But One Thing That You Have To Wait In Cold Outside! Brrrrrr!
