Brought in books / DVD's to sell or trade. Worker just opened the box(es) & glanced inside for... about one second and offered me 10 cash or 60 in credit! Complete rip-off & absolutely zero consideration or respect. After browsing for a few minutes, I approached with $15 of product to which I was then handed a preprinted gift certificate for $40!! No explanation given and I hadn't read the cert. until I'd left but it was a blatant short of $5 - adding insult to injury!

I enjoy going to this bookstore because it is always changing. It's a pickers delight and they have good prices that aren't hurting my bank account. Because of those great prices I keep coming back. The owner is nice and always gives me a reasonable deal. There's lots to look through and buy like movies, cds of music, cassette tapes, vhs, old records, and tons of books! Magazines as well. Add this place to your list of shops in town that won't gouge you out for prices

Good prices, but the owner does not keep regular hours. I went the other day at 2pm and was kicked out by the bike shop guy cuz he was closing the store, owner was not there even though it was operating hours

This place is packed with books and magazines. They have something for everyone who reads, from children's books, to textbooks, self help, how to, science, novels, classics... There are books ranging from a dollar on up.

The guy sounded great on the phone. Went there and was insulted by the unreasonable low-ball offer on my goods. Never go there again and I will never recommend this place to anyone.

I went to this place back in 2018 and again in 2023 and it's still great. I love the large book selection and the laid back atmosphere. You can really wonder through and search for a good book. I hope the place is still around when I visit Portland again.Good playboy selection also. ?
