My friends and I wanted to visit the Hood River Fruit Loop and go apple picking. We ended up at Mountain View Orchards. The orchard was beautiful! There was a small field with sunflowers, a little pumpkin patch, beautiful flowers you can cut and pay for by the stem, trees with a variety of apples, pears, and plums, and a breathtaking view of Mt. Hood. We visited on a sunny, Autumn day, so it was rather busy. We picked our own apples and pears. Although labeled at the end of each row, it became confusing once you were down in the orchard amongst many trees to know what kind of fruit you were picking. After we were done picking fruit, we decided to go to the restaurant. We were asked if we had reservations. No, we did not, but there were numerous empty tables. We were told we could order pizza and eat outside. We had a pear pizza and a pepperoni pizza. Both were delicious. I went back in the restaurant to use the restroom. The tables were still pretty empty. It kind of seemed like the staff was trying to push people to eat outside. Overall, Mt. View Orchards is a lovely place to visit, and the apples and pears were probably the best I've ever tasted. We will definitely make apple picking here a Fall tradition!

Mt View Orchards is a true gem! Nestled amidst scenic landscapes, this orchard offers a delightful experience. The fruit picking is fantastic, with fresh, juicy produce. The friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere make it a perfect family outing. Don't miss this hidden treasure for a taste of nature's bounty! ????????

Really enjoyed the Upick flower field, absolutely gorgeous with view of Mt Hood. We also enjoyed the wine tasting and charcuterie. Only constructive feedback would be we wished there were more options to order a la cart pizza/salad/ect with the pairings instead of just the 3 pairing options. It made it very limited.

Best prices and availability of UPick cherries. Multiple varieties. Staff is very nice. Beautiful view. Also has a great garden for upick flowers. Also on site is a large building for wine tasting. Didn’t check it out as we were focused on fruit.

Crazy good prices for fruit. Worth the drive for $1/lb pears and apples! Stock up and make some jams, jellies, and apple butter to last through the year! Gorgeous location to boot!

Lovely stop for pumpkins and a tremendous assortment of apples and pears. I ended up buying bulk fruit instead of picking them myself. The fruit was inexpensive, delicious, and lasted in the crisper for at least 3 weeks.

Used to love this place until my last visit... very rude and snooty lady at the bar/restaurant/whatever you call it. We ducked in for a minute to get out of a sudden rain squall, thinking we could have a quick cider and a pizza, normal thing to do at this place... But she wasn't having it. She wanted us out of there bad... very bizarre experience. Go for the apples, skip the indoor stuff. They are trying to be too fancy for their own good. They should change the name to Posh Farms, no regulars allowed.
