Our poor little Safeway goes from bad to worse. I guess with the low-income housing nearby, Albertson's has deemed it a throw-away store. Produce shelves are nearly always half empty. Mouldy and out-of-date food. The fish and meat counter smells horrible and closes at 6 pm. Most days they're out of something or other--chicken, lettuce, parmesan cheese, who knows? It's impossible to shop with any menu in mind because you never know what they'll have and what they won't. Which is odd, because every other store in town is well stocked. Thank heaven for Market of Choice and Food-4-Less.
Update 6/26: No lemons today! NO. LEMONS. How is that possible? Had to drive over to Market of Choice to buy...lemons!

Normally, Safeway are very nice, but today, my partner went into Safeway and had to do some shopping and when she went to get something off the top shelf, she was spoken down to when she stood on the bottom rail of the cart from where you push it to try to reach something on the top shelf and the guy sed with an aggravated tone “you can’t be doing that to the carts “well pointing at her in a very aggravated way, another customer near her, gave him a bad look and shook their head and walked away customer’s should not be spoken to this way

The deli lady in the mornings is incredibly rude. They refuse to make breakfast burritos that are on the menu from 6am-11am.
I asked for one a few weeks ago and she said “no, we can’t make it, seaway didn’t give us the supply’s” then when I was walking away I heard her say to a coworker “people can just go to Taco Bell down the street if they want a burrito, I don’t have time”
Today I asked for a breakfast burrito cause it’s on the new updated menu and she said “no, we don’t make those” that was it…. It was 7:30 am. Makes no sense to me and she’s awful to customers…

This Safeway generally has an attitude issue with their employees. I’m not asking for them to be cheerful and happy they’re working but respectful/appreciative to the people who are keeping them employed would be nice. From their cart person/floor sweeper who swept dirt over my shoes to the cashier who ignored my request for help to talk to their coworker about a show they watched last night to the managers who do absolutely nothing and walk away when you try to ask them a question this store needs a lesson in customer service. The only saving grace is their pharmacy who are staffed by wonderful pleasant people who actually try to help you.

When I visited this store to complete and Instacart, an employee took the time to help me find an item that the app inaccurately said was in the Deli department.

50% price reduction wasn't applied when scanned, employee had attitude was unhelpful when informed. Error on their part, which happens but it was handled all wrong.

We ordered the Thanksgiving ham dinner. The Ham was wonderful but the side dishes were given to us frozen solid as a brick! We had to rush to thaw them out. The green beans and scallop potatoes ended up soupy. I should have bought just the ham and made my own side dishes. Will never again order a meal from them

I really like this Safeway, there’s always something new to grab and try out weather it comes to grocery items to household stuff. Josh the assistant manager at starbucks is always great and really personable. The whole starbucks department as a whole is wonderful. Self checkout staff is always great too. I never leave with a sour face. :)

Came in and waited patiently for someone in the deli department to help with getting a sandwich made . It was approximately 3 o clock on a Saturday and I was told to wait 2 hours for help . So of course I left , maybe I have better luck next time
