Brought handgun in for milling + sight.
Was told 4-6 weeks but likely earlier. Now past week 10.
On drop-off I was told the sight would arrive with the next shipment. That didn't happen. At week 6 I was told the gun would be done the next week. That didn't happen. Week 7 told the sight would arrive the next week. That didn't happen. This week i was told nobody in the shop could give me an update.
Employees seem to have no information to provide regarding status of work and appear very uninterested in providing meaningful customer service during these interactions. Communication far worse than expected. May need to pick up gun, as I have no idea when the firearm will be back in my possession and I have already incurred costs of missed trainings that were scheduled well beyond the 4-6 week quoted period.
Customers make decisions based, in part, on quoted completion time frames. To owner: after what length of incomplete work with no updates would you deem reasonable a refund? 3 months, 6 months, a year, never?
Very disappointed. Guys seemed on it when I visited the shop. Don't expect proactive communication or timely service here.
edit: visited store after week 14 with no call. Gun work was done - quality work. Was given a $50 discount for the wait without asking for one or bringing up any of the above. $50 discount still brought total to the original quoted amount.... it's the thought that counts, I guess. Lol.
Increasing from 1 star to 2 stars - since the work was quality.

Had to wait a little longer than I wanted, but the staff was super helpful. Beautiful Cerakote and they even gave me a generous discount for the wait.

Small selection of firearms and some of the staff acts rude towards customers.

Outstanding work, knowledgeable staff with old fashioned business practices. Those 3 simple ideals are hard to find these days. If you need custom work for your firearms this is the place to go.

Consignment gun sold here in 2022, buyer hasn't passed background check, this seller refuses to pay or give gun back. So, we are out our gun and he has kept the sales proceeds, $600+. Blames OSP backlog. The OSP website states clearly that if no background check is cleared after 3 days, the seller may go ahead with transaction. This seller CHOOSES to keep the money AND the gun. It has been 16 months and counting since the sale. Next move is to report gun stolen.

Don’t go to this shop if you actually want the work finished. Took my Glock there to get my slide milled for a red dot and they told me it would be 6-8 weeks possibly sooner, after 14 weeks went by I went into the shop the pickup my gun that still hadn’t been touched.

I acquired a custom knife from this shop commissioned by the owner from Cannon Ball Forge and could not be happier with it. Fit and finish are perfect. Its the kind of knife that I can pass down to my son. My impression is that the owner, Adam, only sells quality items to put his brand on.

*Edit* Used to be a great place has gone down hill lately they even list the transfers are $30 including background check, but when you get there to do them they charge $30 + the background check so it costs $40 when pointed out to them they say oh that needs changed then they don't actually change it

If you aren't one of Adam's buddies, you can wait MONTHS until he releases your weapon. Possibly even years. Not 2A friendly like he pretends. It shouldn't matter who I am. You don't treat everyone the same. Shame on you.

The thing I love most about this business is that it takes pride in doing good, old-fashioned business with good people, which can be hard to come by these days. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the store is veteran owned and operated and they have an awesome inventory.I recently took a CCL class at Coat of Arms and I was blown away. The instructor/owner, Adam, puts his heart and expertise into teaching life-saving technique and perspective. It was worth every dollar and I will be scheduling my private shooting lessons here, too.
