Terrific service, wonderful selection. Check their website often as great deals appear frequently. It’s worth the drive to stunning Hood River to see their excellent selection though their website is one of the best in the business.

I am new to using two handed rods and I called to understand pros and cons of different rods. I had the pleasure of talking to Callum, and he not only took the time to talk through some different rod options and weights, but then helped me to understand the different lines and tips he recommended. He was very patient with me as a novice, and over the course of multiple phone calls helped me put together a really great rig for a great price. What really blew me away was when I asked about different shooting lines or variations in line weight, it was clear that Callum had actually tried all sorts of different combinations and was speaking from experience, not just repeating marketing info. This was so valuable for someone in my position. I look forward to years of fun with the setup I bought from Gorge, and when I am looking for gear in the future I will gladly shop with them again. The folks at Gorge Fly Shop are much better than Amazon Prime. They get your orders out immediately. Really fast delivery. Very nice people who like giving excellent advice. I don't need to go anywhere else for my fly fishing supplies.

Going down to Sunriver with some friends from the east coast, and fly-fishing was the best option to get in some time on the water. Long time angler, always baitcasted or used lures. Never done this before, but I'll give it a go to catch some beauties, right? Looking for an outfit to get started, went to Gorge Fly shop. It's a little hard to find once the GPS gets you close, but persevere. You'll find it, and it's worth it. The shop itself isn't huge, but it's backed by a huge warehouse, as you'll see with the online shopping reviews. Small storefront with huge inventory.Callum got me set up, super laid back and perfect experience, I felt like a VIP getting the absolute best treatment even though I was chillin in my Skechers with no socks, dirty shorts from gardening, and an old T.I had some ideas about what the right starting rig was, they didn't oversell at all, and got me all set up and ready to go on my trip. I love the rig so far, haven't fished it yet, but I've done a bunch of practice casts in the back yard, feels good. Even got some casting instruction at the store on the outside practice area, although the wind here can make it tough (welcome to the Gorge!). Totally worth the trip, A+ service! If you're in the area, I 100% recommend stopping by. Quality gear, huge inventory, all sizes accounted for (I'm a big guy) because of that warehouse, and what looked to me like a huge selection of quality flies. Thanks Callum! I feel ready to begin my adventure, and I appreciate your help!

Great fly shop! Very helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Always seem to have great deals such as free fly lines with certain items and kits that are amazing deals. I recently purchased a kit and realized after I got home that I would rather have a different color reel. They switched out the reel (unused) without a problem. Overall a great place to shop.
