It was my first time filing with Sheldon N Berger and it was such a great experience. Such a really nice guy, explaining every single details and very accommodating with our questions. The fee is also very much reasonable compared to the other commercialized preparers. I definitely recommend this place, no doubt!

My experience with this lovely couple has been wonderful! They were able to assist me with all of my concerns and they were very professional and respectful throughout the entire process. Absolutely unprofessional individual,was very polite trying to find out if he would be able to handle my tricky tax situation and instead of any professional response was insulted multiple times then told his long history as a psychologist he had to handle lots of unstable people as I reminded him sir a complicated tax issue has nothing to do with mental state and not exactly appropriate to insult someone because your professional psychology, and instead of answering my question on if my tax situation was too tricky for him to handle and I should take to a tax attorney instead it was a very inappropriate response to then insult a mental state because you felt your ego is hurt. I would hope people take their money to a much better individual than a person that apparently is better off in his psychology business than tax.Edit/response: sir I wish I had recorded your unprofessional conduct for all these people to witness and decide themselves at no point was your conduct professional and to shake off my experience just shows how unprofessional you. A real professional would apologize for their out of line comments and not stand by the disrespectful comments you made to a potential client, the second woman in cottage Grove I contacted was thankfully nothing like my experience with you and is able to help. I think the reason you were so defensive and insulting is because you yourself need psychological help and probably are not able to work in the psychology field anymore because of your disrespectful and inappropriate behavior and that's why you're trying to be in the tax field. I hope no one has the unfortunate experience to work with you in this way again.

Just spoke with Sheldon and Berger and was requesting to schedule and appt for my mother-inlaw. My father inlaw (who did they taxes for the past 50+ years) passed away last year and while I was trying to speak with Sheldon & Berger to let them know that I would need to get my mother inlaws info because I was at work, he kept saying if she doesn't want to give me her info. I can't help her. I told him I didn't have it at this time. He was very rude and said goodbye and hung up on me. I understand how late it is to get taxes done, but there was no need to be rude and act like he was too good to do our taxes that he had 400 taxes to do and too busy for us. He even said I was lucky he called me back to get my motherinlaws info to file an extension. but didn't understand that I was at work and that I still had to get the info. RUDE!

I more than highly recommend! What a gentle man. He is straightforward, very knowledgeable and professional. My tax situation was handled and resolved quickly and efficiently. All of the prepared paperwork was given to me in a nice folder and lastly, his prices are from decades ago, I was pleasantly surprised!

Worst experience ever. Never recommend. He scheduled an appointment at 11 am. Me, my wife and our newborn arrived 5 minutes late as we lost in an unknown neighborhood. He asked us to come to discuss about the paperwork he might need. But when we arrived he asked for the hard copies of the documents. We had a flash drive and laptop and were ready to send via email. He started complaining of our late arrival. My wife asked a question and then he outburst and repeatedly saying "you don't know how to respect. You are late. I am a PhD in Psychology. I have 450 clients". Who does this kind of bragging? Looks like empty vessels sound much. Then he asked me to connect to wifi. Again he started complaining of our late arrival and when we tried to explain he never listened. My wife looked down when he was yelling and then told those golden words "one more strike and you are out". He was upset as we did not look into his eyes. Who are we? we are his clients (we are doctorates too) and he needs to show respect to a woman rather he is expecting the same from us though we did not argue at all. USA people is known as their friendly and helping nature. He is just the opposite.
