Next time you want to do taco night, come here. Go to the back counter and get carnitas. Get more than you think you need because it is so good. Grab some fresh corn tortillas from the big cooler(warmer in this case) by the hot case, grab some Queso from the fridge or the cheese counter (I used the Queso botanero from the cheese fridge and it was fantastic, highly recommend.), grab some salsa from the salsa fridge next to the hot case(for this I use salsa roja fresca, best for carnitas in my opinion), and get some cabbage, onions, and cilantro from produce. Now go home and fry up some cheesy carnitas tacos and add the salsa and chopped veggies while it’s still hot and melty. Thank me later.

Great mercado! They carry Ducal beans. Hard to find and absolutely delicious! Nice meat counter, lovely produce and bakery.

Amazing carnitas and beans in the deli. Also fresh salsas and warm tortillas that I am pretty sure they make fresh. Good selection of anything you might want to make a nice Mexican meal. We made tacos gobernador last week and they had everything we needed. I am unsure if they carry shrimp, as I already had some in the freezer lol. But they do have a nice selection of cheeses in both the cold case and behind the counter near the deli. Pastries too!

Today I bought tamales. The corn ones are already old, they taste horrible, they taste more like flour than corn. The dry smoked chicken ones have no flavor. They are not good at all and $2.50 for a chicken tamale that tastes only like masa. I will never buy anything there again.

I was looking for Sun Vista pinto beans but only found SV black beans. The cashier was very helpful and friendly in helping me look for the beans.
