I arrived at 9:53 this morning to drop off two bags of clothes. I know they open at 10 so I was more than happy to wait a couple minutes till they open the donation doors. However, when I pulled up I saw that some employees were already helping a car at the donation drop zone. So I drove over and began to drop my stuff off. An employee with long black hair and glasses told me that “he was only gonna do this for me once”. I asked him to clarify and he told me that they open at 10. I apologized and told him I was more than happy to wait till 10 but I noticed that they were already helping people with donations. He began to be very rude to me and kept reiterating the fact that they open at 10. I told him I was sorry again but he continued to keep being rude.

Still no changing rooms and the staff is extremely belligerent to people attempting to select and purchase clothing. None of it makes any sense except as some sort of nonprofit tax evasion scheme. They don’t care at all if anything they have sells. They sure have security guards to make sure nobody takes what the public gave them for free. I hate this place, to get to a decent goodwill you have to go out to Tigard. That one is great!!!

This goodwill is the worst! They over charge more than other goodwills in the area for items that are completely free to them. The point of a thrift store is to be affordable for those that can’t afford brand new quality items or those who prefer to live sustainably. Donors donate (with actual goodwill) in hope of passing on the value to their community members not the pockets of the CEO and a select few.
I have been a long time goodwill shopper and donor and have poured ungodly amounts of money into this company and this store is by far the worst. Their employees treat people with contempt despite reason. Everyone is a thief or a shady character in their eyes. I understand that 82nd st isn’t the easiest street to be located, but they need to chill out. Not everyone is trying steel or be sneaky. I was once accused of pulling a generic lamp shade holder from a lamp at checkout when they had a whole plastic container full in the lamp section. I was also thoroughly questioned when returning a printer that didn’t work with a receipt and the markings and tags still on it. Not even high end store question you that hard when returning an item and they actually take a loss on it if people are lying. Goodwill pays nothing for items and act as if they’re protecting the Crown Jewels. It’s insane.
My advice: CHARGE APPROPRIATELY FOR ITEMS AND TREAT PEOPLE WITH RESPECT.

arrived 30 minutes before opening, the microphone is yelling, don’t put anything down, the camera comes out a second later and brazenly answers 30 minutes, wait, not all people have time to wait and didn’t pick it up, well, there are other places where you don’t have to wait, they take it right away!!

Prices are ridiculous! Also i bought a nice pair of shoes, and realized they marked the bottom with permanent marker and now I'm stuck with shoes that are ruined. I can't even resale them.

It's really a shame you can't try on anything there anymore

I stopped bothering going to Goodwill for clothes because they closed the changing rooms. If I can't try it on, I'm not going to buy it in the first place. I'm not going to bring a shirt or pair of pants all the way home, find out they don't fit and then make a trip back just to return it. I also think that for clothing they get for free, they charge way too much.

I'm not sure what's happened to this Goodwill over the last year or two, but the prices here are downright comical. Most stuff is cheaper at the Wal-Mart across the street.

The manager, Sandy, let his employees put two pairs of Hooters booty shorts in the children’s section. I also asked him to price a couple things for me that didn’t have tags(happens a lot here) and he went to the back for ten minutes then came out without my things and started fiddling around with the electronics. He then threatened to have me trespassed when I asked him what he was doing and where my items were. I’ve been coming to this goodwill for years and have never had a problem. I’m in once a week at least and Sandy is always leaning and standing around. I feel bad for his team.

It’s disappointing really. Honestly one of the most overpriced goodwills I’ve ever seen so far. I’ll never understand the logic of pricers at goodwill thinking anything big must be valuable. I’ve never really experienced the rudeness from employees like other reviewers have, they’ve always been relatively pleasant and so far it’s been the only saving grace. I’m honestly not sure how this place is in business with its bare shelves and unusually overpriced stuff but I’m guessing it has something to do with the amount of items they send to their e-commerce site. This goodwill is notorious for it.Whether warranted or not, it’s always funny to me when a charity shop has hired security detail to observe customers. Multi billion dollar company worried about losing a couple bucks, good grief. Deseret is right next door, they don’t seem too worried about theft. Just seems like greed to me.For those looking for awesome deals or affordable clothing/shoes for you or your loved ones, stray far away from this one.

Like most other goodwills except they have a slight problem with theft here. Other than that you can find quite a bit of stuff packed into this location compared to some others.
