I was a customer there since the first week they opened. I have been going to all the St. Vinnies thrift stores in the area for around 20 years and have spent a massive amount of money in the stores during that time. My main issue with all the stores is that they profile customers based on appearance and that their inhouse security creates its own safety issues in the stores. I have been followed around and harassed by employees in every store. Some of the employees have had a vendetta against me for many years and don't want me in the stores. The sad part about it all is I'm always perfectly polite and have never been thrown out of a store because the flat out fact is I never did anything wrong. I believe this way of behaving comes from corporate and it is despicable behavior. Profiling isn't the way to create safety in any environment. If you're like me and go to many thrift stores, ask yourself if you feel safe inside their stores. I think if you're honest with yourself, you may say no. Compare the number of out of control events you've seen in St. Vinnies vs. Goodwill. Goodwill operates in the same general local area, but the stores are far less sketchy. The difference is the chaos the St. Vinnies organization brings to the table.

Been there 2 days ago to drop off some stuff in the donation area while waiting for the guy infront of me to unload his donation i tried to get out in my car to get something i need in my backseat then all of the sudden one of the guy whose wearing a green vest screamed at me like super loud and said "STAY IN YOUR CAR and wait for your turn" in a mad manner... ...I did not do something wrong to be screamed like that he even did not said sorry .... I just said to myself it's hot outside that guy need to drink some water or maybe he don't like his job. Please tell those guys out there to cool down and need to be nice.

We make regular donations here because their money goes to helping the poor, not enriching CEO paychecks (e.g.Goodwill)

Seriously the prices are more than retail stores. Items are being sold as if they are antiques. A simple vase - $89.00. A simple outside table with no umbrella $500. Are you crazy. You can buy a brand new, entire set for that. So much for helping the poor get things they otherwise couldn't afford.

As a veteran under the Vet Lyft program, I am appalled at how low effort your agency makes in keeping its tenants safe.I was assaulted on SVDP property last Sunday night, leaving my ankle busted and in need of surgery. ..Alas, the cameras don't record a thing, so there is no police evidence to be gathered thus the criminals have more access to our housing units than the tenants whom actually pay rent.In 2020 the upstairs neighbors caused flooding damages to my apartment. If the video cameras were working then, we could have kept those vandals from causing greater property damages elsewhere. It's been three years of "The IT Team is working on it" (what, are they extruding the silicon from the mines themselves, having to solder on each and every component to built each camera by hand).C'mon... a simple call to Comcast will have the entire building set up and secure within. One weekend for less than $350 a month!I'm tired of the lies that SVDP dish out in the name of helping. The best advice the casemangers tell us "Don't make waves. Don't rock the boat"(Followed by veiled threats of being back on the streets if we speak out against these constitutional infractions this Non-Profit imposes on its clients).Solution: remove SVDP tax-exempt status and have them pay equitable taxes like everyone else!!

I had a job interview on Chad Drive. They told me that there's no open positions for anything in Eugene. But it's very odd how I keep seeing all these job openings on indeed. I wonder why that may be? Or maybe they're just discriminating against certain people.

The older females esp at the counter acted snobbish. Acted as though they didn’t see me at first as I was right in front of them, politely asking a question. Then they suddenly had a problem with me. Too bad they feel the need to act as though they are better than someone else. Goes to show their true character. Ridiculous prices on DONATED stuff. Don’t donate here, donate to privately owned 2nd hand stores please.
