I don't know why I haven't written a review before. My son attended this daycare from 6mo-5. We only left because my son aged out and was starting kindergarten. This place was AMAZING for my son. The teachers genuinely care and work well with each kid's personality. They even work with the kids to put on a holiday show.Plus, the take home dinner option. After a long day of work, the last thing you want to do is then cook dinner (especially if your kid has an early bedtime and needs a bath). Order dinner in the morning, pick it up when you pick up your kids! Amazing!Lastly, my son left here SO well prepared for kindergarten. The transition was so easy. I just can't say enough good things about my experience here. I highly recommend them!

We were patients here for a few years (5 kids) and the care received was fine, the facility was fine, no serious concerns as we generally only went in once a year for annual exams. Then I had another baby and was told at the time that they couldn’t accept a new patient so our entire family would have to go elsewhere. Seriously?! Taking kids to multiple offices would be ridiculous! So we went back to previous pediatrician (I originally left because nurses were terrible). She retired last year so I called to see if we could come back yet (just trying to get annual exams). Several times we were informed that clinic is busy and search is on for an additional DR, advised to call back every few months to check. The last time I called back here’s the odd conversation that makes me wonder about discrimination:ME: We used to be patients there a few years ago, had to leave, would like to come back, told to wait for a new DR. Am calling back as instructed to check on that progress.RECEPTION: OK. What is the patient’s name?ME: (male possibly Hispanic sounding name)RECEPTION: Oh, we don’t have a new DR yet and we’re too busy so call back this summer.ME: OK, but why did you need to know the patient’s name to tell me that, when you already know you’re busy and don’t have a new DR?RECEPTION: Oh (laughs) that’s just because sometimes people call a different clinic and get confused (laughs) and we’re just checking to make sure it’s the right one (laughs).I politely ended the call. Neither my husband nor myself are Hispanic (Irish/English, German/Italian for the record). No one in our family speaks with an accent, or any language other than English. I’ve had similar experiences elsewhere when people assume some ethnicity that we’re not, but it’s rare and surprisingly shocking when it does happen. I’d never suspect Dr. Luce of such behavior, but his front office staff leaves much to be desired.I can obviously call around and find a new pediatrician. I just get a bad feeling every time I think about my last few years of conversations over the phone with reception (aka the face of the business). And given that, it’s probably a better thing to look elsewhere!

The Doctors Luce Daycare (TDLD) came highly recommended by a close friend of 20 years, whose son had been attending TDLD and it was worth the wait it took us to get off the waitlist. Our twins joined TDLD in 2019: our 3-year long experience with TDLD has met and exceeded our expectations and we were saddened to have left the nurturing environment of TDLD due to my job location change.TDLD offers the best combination of support system needed for working parents: loving teachers, 6:00am to 6:00pm care, onsite kitchen and in-house chefs that prepare gourmet meals 4 times a day, round the year care with closures aligned with Federal Holidays, classroom cameras, daily and weekly feedback through Class Dojo, Go-Home meal service, bilingual English/Japanese medium of instruction and last but not the least the only 5-star QRIS rated child-directed curriculum in the area.If the above is not convincing enough, please allow me to share our story...our twins had GERD due to their premature birth and when we started at TDLD at 15months of age, they suffered from severe reflux and feeding issues. Director Danielle Barth and Teachers Lisa and Becky took this challenge head on and helped our twins outgrow their feeding inhibition with love, patience and perseverance. Our twins went from struggling with bottles to enjoying Chef Daniel's and Chef Nathan's gourmet cooking in no time. We also took advantage of the Go-Home meals to continue the experience at home and it is a boon for families with two working parents. Soon after we joined, the pandemic hit...thanks to TDLD and their dedication not only was there no lapse in care throughout the entire global health crisis but also, they kept the kids safe with no school closures due to outbreaks...Kudos to TDLD management for continuing to support their entire staff throughout the pandemic despite operating with reduced capacity.Loving, nurturing and stimulating environment provided by TDLD has made our twins independent, curious and sociable: we experienced the beauty of this when they were chosen to join Japanese immersion Montessori pre-school (ages 3 to 6) in our new location. Our twins were invited to interview at the Montessori school based on the personalized assessment (collection of work and ASQs) of twins as compiled by TDLD throughout their stay; we are extremely grateful for TDLD teachers and their diligence to document the child's progress from as early as infancy. Our twins' thirst for knowledge and confident well-balanced demeanor as inculcated by TDLD led to them being accepted to join the program after in-person assessment. We had the chance to go back and visit the school after a few months and our twins were so excited to meet all of their teachers (Danielle, Lisa, Becky, Tomoko, Elsa, Lynn, Susan, Aurora, Candy, Katy, Ashley, Cara, Yoko, Simin, Melina, Brennyn, Kim, Rosa, Liz, Brigid, Eigo) and chefs (Danial and Nathan); it was heart-warming to see their interaction with every single teacher at the school... They not only remembered everyone but also had missed them. We cannot thank TDLD enough; they have been our village and helped raise our kids well. We have recommended TDLD to our close friends and family, and hope this review will convince you to consider TDLD to care for your child as well.

Our son was at Doctors Luce Daycare for close to 5 years and throughout the entirety of the pandemic. The director and all the staff through the time have been truly amazing in keeping the kids as healthy as can be. Reacting diligently and quickly to ever changing rules and keeping parents in the loop. The communication was always on top - regardless of before / after or during the pandemic. The days were filled with fun and educational content and projects! My son loved the times visiting Indoor Goals for soccer or having Karate classes at the center! We feel he is absolutely prepared to thrive now in Kindergarten! The biggest change he already moans about is him missing the great lunches from the Center. The meals prepared there are amazing - and always better than what mom cooks ?We feel we were absolutely blessed being part of the Doctors Luce Daycare community.

Our family has had a wonderful experience with The Doctors Luce Daycare over the last 8 years. This center has amazing and caring staff, great and fun curriculum and projects, and wonderful healthy food made on site. The optional take home dinners are a perk we will truly miss! Our older child thrived in kindergarten and beyond, many of his teachers have mentioned how well prepared he was in reading and other subjects. Our younger child is equally prepared to enter kindergarten. For both our kids, the exposure to Japanese language and culture was another great benefit. The director and staff are good at communicating and respond quickly to emails. We cannot say enough good things about our experience with The Drs. Luce. Our children flourished here.

Our son started attending The Doctors Luce Daycare when he was around 5 months old. All of our family members live in a different state, so we had no family support system with our first child. Searching for a full time daycare to send our sweet babe was such a stressful process, but after we spoke to the Director with TDLD, we knew this child care facility was the absolute best place for him. After almost a year with TDLD, we are so so grateful for the teachers who have helped our son grow into the active toddler he is today. The teachers (Lisa and Becky) are like an extension of our family and we have never been worried about our son's safety or health (even during a pandemic). We know he was always in the greatest care and his face would light up at drop off every morning. It's bittersweet that we are moving closer to our family members and leaving Portland. We wish we could take the TDLD staff with us!

I went in there for Covid-19 vaccine appointment. The check-in was simple, straight forward and waiting time was short. The staff was friendly and very professional. The shot was normal and instructions were clear for post vaccination monitoring. I appreciate the clinic’s public service. Liked the choice of going to a local clinic and the entire process was smooth. And I did not have any reactions to the J&J vaccine and it has been a week.

My husband went there to receive his COVID 19 Vaccine. He said the service was fast, efficient and that everyone was very friendly. He was very satisfied with the service that he received. He was very thankful that he could walk rightin, get his vaccine and leave. No long lines to contend with. Highly satisfied.

We use Dr. Marcus for all 3 of our children. Our beloved family doctor left her practice, so I was nervous about the switch. But... He's amazing! My children LOVE him. He takes so much time to answer ALL of my questions. He educates and informs me on whatever choices we're making. The practice is fun and kid friendly, staff is great and are really experienced with giving vaccines in a low trauma type way. So glad that we happened upon Luce pediatrics.

Takes a village - or - Everyone at The Doctors Luce Daycare! This place is Fantastic! I can't even express how Amazing they are / have been. Such a wonderful experience. I really appreciate the folks, (every one of them), and everything have done for my son, his mother and me. They have shown such creativity and innovation that has been a true blessing. - I loved that they have this app and send pictures + the cameras that you can check out while at work. The food service is pure nutrition and the option to have dinner ready at pick up is ingenious, and affordable. (order extra servings it's worth it.) Just so involved. I will be sure to recommend this location to everyone. It is clear to me, the elevated standards and service provided at the Doctors Luce Daycare, will be hard to match. (If even comparable.) - There can be challenges in integrating a child on the spectrum into a new environment. I am very glad to find The Doctors Luce Daycare was effective and able to accommodate my son's individual needs. While continuing to providing the same 5 star service, (he was so happy to be there.) And then -- Throw a pandemic on top - Wow! The communication was clear- there was no second guessing. Absolutely professional.Such a critical impact on my son at a fundimental part of his young development.Hopeful any of my future children ? will find the same level of care. To me its just too important to get wrong, something that has no price tag. Truly. Thanks a million! And more!Best wishes to you all!Sincerely,Andy

As a new mom and expecting our first child back in 2016, my husband and I did our due diligence on visiting/touring and researching local daycares and I considered becoming a SAHM.Through a recommendation from a family friend, whose daughter attended TDLD, we visited TDLD and immediately were confident this was the place we wanted to send our child. Now we have two children attending TDLD and they're thriving there. The winning factors for us were: the clean facility, hours of operations, healthy/nutritious menu, classroom cameras, go-home meals with a vegetarian option (this has been a life saver!) and ultimately, the quality & experience of the Director to Teachers and the Teacher Aides - they create a safe, inclusive, fun, engaging, passion for learning and loving environment. Thank you, TDLD.

My son went here from two months old until he was ready to start Kindergarten. The staff are excellent. Every one was focused from the teachers to the chef who prepared the meals prepared. Everything felt thought out and planned. They keep the kids busy and engaged and the parents that send there kids feel really invested in the place. The fact that the doctors are onsite is also a huge benefit when you cannot easily take off work to pick your child up. They can be seen immediately in the clinic. If you are looking for a local daycare Dr. Luce is an excellent choice.

Our 2 kids were enrolled in The Doctors Luce Daycare for 5 years until they started kindergarten. It took a while for us to get a spot but it was worth the wait! We believe they are one of the best daycare centers in existence! Both kids really enjoyed going to daycare every day and have grown so much. They put a lot of thoughts into the program as if their own kids were attending. All the teachers and staff are very friendly, patient, and caring and they made a positive impact on their lives. Their chefs provided many healthy foods for our kids and home, which are big plus for busy parents. Our kids eat well thanks to the variety of healthy foods they were introduced at an early age and they took care of us at home by letting us order yummy dinner. Because of our health care insurance, we couldn't see the doctors on the same site but we heard many good things about them from fellow classmates' parents and its convenience. They are truly amazing and we miss them!

Two of our kids spent a whole year in the daycare and they absolutely loved it. It was like a second family for us, especially during the difficulties of the covid period. Would heartily recommend!!:)It was great also having a doctor onsite in case of an emergency, like a bee sting in our case. :) everyone took such good care of the kids and having an on-site cook is great.
