It's never a good time whenever we have to make a claim to our insurance. Right? Even if they cover it fully, it'll still ding you a lot of times. It's like applying for credit - you don't want to do it if you don't need to.
For this instance, I noticed a small (about 1/3 of a #2 pencil eraser). I scheduled an appointment for 11:00am, and they began to work on it around 11:15am. It took about an hour - I got new wipers as well as the rain treatment (RainX). No big deal. But when the employee took me out to show me the work, he did warn me it "didn't look pretty, but it's fixed." The guy was nice, but it did look odd to me that it didn't look "fixed." But if I was an expert, I would have done it myself. This appointment was on a Thursday. The very next day, guess what happened? It cracked to about a 9 inch crack. I couldn't call the place that did the first fix because they were closed and it was then a weekend (I was out of town), so I filled out a request on their site. They never got back to me.
Now I needed the windshield completely replaced. What was the point of the first claim on my insurance? What was the point of the RainX? I just found it very disappointing. It's a pain to have to schedule 2-3 hour appointment with kids.
When I was able to schedule again the following week, no one followed up with me at all about having two appointments within 4 days. Shouldn't there have been an explanation? Is there a warranty on the first job? Any answers would have been nice, but they didn't care, my insurance will pay for it. That's all they care about - will they get paid? Yes? Then who cares?
Another interesting thing is that when they recalibrated my sensors (after the windshield was installed), they drove the truck for a while. That's fine, but they unplugged my Dashcam. Why? It's an easy plug and play so they had absolutely no reason to unplug it. When an employee is in my car, not only do I want the option to see how he drove my vehicle, but I also want evidence if something goes wrong and there is damage to my vehicle!
They also don't go over whether or not you'll get an OEM windshield. They claim they put a non-OEM on it if that is approved by my insurance, but it's MY vehicle, not the insurances. I should get the choice. I'd even pay the difference in price if I had had the option. Now I'm stuck with an interior windshield that makes me nervous to have on there. On the other hand, they do have a warranty if it does go bad but don't really want to deal with Safelite again? No.
I'd suggest going to MS Glass (not too far away). I've dealt with them before and wish I would have gone there instead to be honest. However, my insurance makes it difficult to go anywhere else other than Safelite, without having to be reimbursed, which is annoying. I'm sure there is some kind of payout Country Financial gets for forcing (recommending) Safelite.
Their reviews speak for themselves, really. I hope to not have to deal with this company again - anyone who needs insurancs to recommend them blindly doesn't have the reputation to sustain themselves by their quality of work. Shop around if you can.

First off, misty up front and Benny in the back were excellent and helped as much as they could.
Overall the experience here was a nightmare. Had to go to the location twice times for just a windshield replacement.
- first appointment(my original appointment), I arrived at 7:15 for my 7:30 appointment that I scheduled online and they didn’t open till 8. At 8am I was the first one in the door and they said they didn’t have the part and it was at the warehouse even though I made the reservation a week prior so they should’ve been prepared
- Second appointment, I arrived and waited for 6 hours(I was origin told this should only take 1.5 hours). I was told I would need to come back in 12 days for them to try again, I made my appointment and they went to pull the car around. Thankfully something switched when they tried moving the car and they were able to finish the recalibration. So I didn’t need to come back but I did spend 6 hours there and my windshield is different than the one I had originally even though it was OEM
Safe to say I won’t be returning and will go literally anywhere else next time

Unfortunately had another window broken in downtown Portland and this is who my insurance sent me to. I had a 9:30am appointment was told it would take about an hour. I walked to get food and returned at 10:30am. Cars that came after me were already done and back in the parking lot. I waited in the lobby and did not even get the text they started my vehicle until over 2hrs past my appointment time. It is almost 1pm and from when they started it took a little over an hour/hour and a half. So definitely should have been handled by 11am if I was scheduled at 9:30am. Expect to wait longer than anticipated.

Replaced broken passenger window in less than an hour. The front desk lady was super nice. They vacuumed up the broken glass and left things tidy. Worker went over repairs with me when he was done.

We had a chip that turned into a crack during a road trip to California so upon our return we had to replace the whole front screen. A week later on a road trip to Bend we got a chip - we drove straight over to these wonderful guys who on the spot fixed the chip for us even though it was right before closing time. Amazing customer service thank you!

I had a great experience at this Safelite location - including amazing communication from everyone. The manager was understanding, shared detail, answered all my questions. The master tech went over the replacement with me, they took time, care, and everything went very well. Highly recommend the team here!

The woman working the desk is absolutely obnoxious!!!! She talks to herself outloud. Puts calls on speaker phone. You can’t do anything in the waiting room but listen to her. Because there’s no choice. Her voice is loud. She makes no attempts and trying to be more respectful. I thought I was on candid camera honestly. And she kept sighing loudly. Turned one guy away and made him reschedule because he was 10 mins late. 20 mins later another man comes in 15 mins late and she says “no problem”. Say what??? And to top it off I’m completely unsatisfied with my repair. It was a small rock nic. And you can complete still see it. It’s like they just put glue in it and that’s it. Terrible.

WORST customer service from the woman at the front desk, extremely rude not only to me but to other customers in the lobby as well. This location damaged my car and REFUSED my follow up appointment. Stained my interior and pried off my rear view mirror with a screw driver. Also not waterproof, as we have water damage to the interior after rain. Do not trust them with your vehicle. Negative stars, do not come here.

Very rude and low quality customer service both the front desk and technician staff. They did not respect my needs; rather, they wanted to upsell me additional services and the front desk staff cancelled my appointment after I showed up because I refused to accept the upselling bid. Probably thought this will keep their face.
Highly recommend searching other options.

If I could give this joke of place a negative 100 I would. My first appointment with them I drove out to the Beaverton location and began to wait only to have the technician to come out 40 mins later saying that there was a huge scratch in the new windshield, so they need to get a new windshield to install. So I had to set up an appointment over two weeks later for a tech to come out to my house. So the tech came out to my house installed the new windshield. His name was Simon. And after he left I inspected my vehicle and the interior was left filthy. Not only that he left two black rockstar cans in my grass. And to completely top it off. He scratched my vehicle multiple times and used cover up paint to "hide" the damage! I then called to have someone come out to look and take pictures of the damage. His name was Joshua. The new tech came out and "cleaned" the interior (there are still black marks in the interior) we have yet to get a call back about the damage. So now it's been 8 days and I call and a person in customer service had to read me the notes. According to the notes, they claim that Safelite did not make the damages that have the cover up paint. I have proof and now we are hiring a lawyer. Please whatever you DO NOT come to this company!

Wow, I should have read the reviews before calling for service. We had Safelite come out and replace the back windshield on our vehicle. They not only ordered the wrong part, but installed a part that did not have the attachments for the struts to open and close the window. When I called Toyota to see if I could order the part, it does not have a part number because it comes with the window. So back to Safelite to yet again come out and replace the window with the correct part. After that we found out more parts were missing that are covered under their warranty and they are practically denying service because those parts were "missing" before the install. We paid you to replace the window to working condition and yet it is still not. Additionally, Safelite didn't install one of the brand new window struts I purchased correctly so it's either bent or not seating correctly. Now I'm not confident the window will open and close without the possibility of something being damaged. Save the hassle and go somewhere else. We are calling another company to come fix their mistakes because at this point, I can't trust them to do it right.
Edit: We had Safelite come back out and remove the glass as it was still incorrect. I would also like to point out the lack of accountability on their part. Every single response to complaints is basically "I'm sorry that happened." Maybe take responsibility for your mistakes and own up to it.

Here’s my problem: I was told by the technician in June 2023 when I had the windshield replaced to return in a year and Safelite would provide a free pair of windshield wipers for my car. I returned last week, and my request was rebuffed by an administrative person who explained that it was six months and not 12 months. I would think that in the interest of better customer service, give me the benefit of doubt. But no, they would rather lose a customer.
