Awesome theatre group, have loved their plays since I was a child. But they lose 2 stars for the eyeball shredding lightbar which seems to be ripped off a Cybertruck and installed in the Angus B theatre. I've put up with sketchy audio or cold venues with no complaint but that !*#&$^ bright bar of light shining into the audiance in a dark theatre? ????? no. Production was fine with this or they just don't have to dral with it? Please get rid of it. It's worse than useless.

We had an absolute blast touring the cute town, seeing the history of the festival, and seeing one of the best performances of MacBeth we’ve ever seen! The sound was spot on, the pace kept your attention, and the songs were surprisingly a lot of fun for a Shakespeare play!

Second only to Broadway, in our experience! Look at their website to see the breadth of productions they do. They've announced the 2025 season and it should be great.

Thoroughly enjoyed an evening under the stars, attending "Much ado about Nothing." Always a treat to catch a play while traveling through the area. Highly recommended experiencing a joyful few hours at the OST.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is a true Oregon treasure! From March through October, you'll find world class theater, amazing actors, artists, directors, and designers creating beautiful & compelling stories.
It's not all Shakespeare plays! Yes, of course there are some, and they're done in true Shakespearean style, or set to modern times, or changed to modern cloquial language in modern times. There is something for everyone!!
When it's chilly at night at the Allen Elizabethan Theater, you'll find an audience wearing coats & hats & gloves wrapped in blankets & drinking hot cocoa to watch outdoor theater! I call it "Cultural Camping" and it is one of my favorite things to be a part of & to witness.

OSF is definitely BACK!! Amazing season under new Artistic Director Tim Bond, (Much Ado, Macbeth, the wildly popular new musical Lizard Boy, among others.) OSF's Volunteer, Education, and Literary departments are already back and have been embraced by the community, and next year's 90th Anniversary season line-up looks fantastic!
