Beautiful place this is my favorite it's open half of the theater to the skies above. Last time it rained and I was glad we were in the back. This time the weather was so good crisp but unseasonably warm.

They keep cancelling day of… several hours before it was supposed to start after we already travelled here from several states away for a birthday. Definitely want the cast to recover and take the time to rest, and it’s not they’re fault, but the theater should have planned ahead with backups you know…

Bring a cushion. In the fall a blanket helps. Love this venue.

Very nice theatre. Beautiful weather. It was our first time. And we really enjoyed it. There was a band playing before we went in. They have a little concession stand with acholic and non beverages and some snacks and ice cream. The parking was a little challenging but other than that it was great.

What an amazing experience! I have always wanted to see a play at the Allen Elizabethan Theatre in Ashland for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and I'm so glad to have finally have done so. It was better than I could've imagined. I've always been a fan of Shakespeare, so made a mental note to check this place out someday. Like the famous Globe Theatre in England, the Allen Elizabethan Theatre is inspired and designed by such. It's Ashland's most prized setting and primarily what brings tourists to the area. My partner's grandma got us tickets to see The Twelfth Night, which was showing the one night we spent in southern Oregon. Since she is a local, she was able to get discounted tickets, which was nice. We were seated on the bottom level, close to the stage near the center. They were fantastic seats! However, just like the Globe Theatre, this theatre is outdoors, so rain or shine, the show must go on. Being from the Pacific Northwest, that bothered no one here. Everyone came prepared with rain jackets and parkas. Acoustics, lighting and design were all on point. We loved the performance, especially when the actors interacted with the crowd! There's a parking garage nearby, and is close to the main street where many of the restaurants are located. Bathrooms are right outside the theatre, as well as a concession stand that serves wine, beer and more. If you're in the area, you must absolutely see a Shakespeare play at the Allen Elizabethan Theatre! Truly a treasure!

My husband and I had a wonderful time. Every seat is a good seat in this theater. We saw The Three Musketeers which was very entertaining and the actors are very talented.

This theater is incredible. There's not a bad seat in the house. It's worth every penny to see shows here. We are seeing The Three Muskateers and it's a true gem. Wine and beer, popcorn and cookies are all sold inside and can be taken to your seat.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! This place has incredible sound and Lighting. The stage is large and has many many entrances it's two story building with a very large stage platform in the front. Great seating no bad seats and there is no longer a lawn area. That is new permanent seating. Covered! If you see a show here. You are guaranteed and awesome, intimate setting. I was there for the Shakespeare Festival. Twelfth Night and it was spectacular some really really funny actors.

Great outdoor theater experience - great stage & great acoustics. It was a little warm for the week of July 4th, but you should know that in the Spring & Fall, the temperature drops significantly after the sun goes down, so dress appropriately & plan ahead. The rear orchestra seats are nice (row K and further back) - just in case it rains. :)
