It all started when we had a shift piston let go on our standard transmission. We live in the country. A one man transmission repair shop located in the west end of the city was recommended to us. CAA took the car to him. We paid for the repair, but just about didn’t make it out of the city. Same problem with the shift lever and clutch as before he did the, “so called repair”. He promised to repair his work, but did nothing, with no refund..
We then had the car towed to Sault Transmission a.k.a. Dr. PRNDL on Second Line. We knew the previous owner was a man of high integrity. The transmission job on the car was done right, on quote, and on time. Since then at different times, we have had; wheel bearings replaced, then brakes, then exhaust system replaced. Their parts and labour prices have been more than fair compared to other shops. Bill, Marco, Carlo and Ryan have been professional, courteous and friendly.
Highly recommended above other large, brand-name repair shops. Our son has had work done by Sault Transmission and would share in these comments. Five stars. No problem.

I had my oil & transmission fluid changed in south Ontario then drove up to the Soo for family funeral when car started making noise, the dealership wanted $129 just to look at it. Brought it here instead, there was something that was not tightened up properly when transmission fluid was changed, They fixed it and I drove away very happy for much less than the $129 "diagnostic testing" to just look at it.

They made my day. Transmission issues can be a scary financial thing but not in my case. It was a tiny wire that broke off a sensor. No big bill and they fixed it and addressed another issue I had for free. Total amount I owed them was $99 bucks. Honesty that I can appreciate in that line of business.
