Love Barrhaven Costco. This review is specifically for the Tire Centre. We bought our tires online for a reasonable cost, with installation included. Booked an installation appointment online, as suggested. Received an email that our tires had arrived at the store and it was requested that we move our appointment up (they want you to get your tires installed within 7 days, which is reasonable), so we did. Got a call to ask if we could move our appointment up again to Monday at 5:15. Arrived at the Tire Centre desk on time. It's now 7:00 and our car is still sitting in the parking lot. Hasn't even been brought in yet... No idea why they book so many appointments on one day if they know that they can't stay on time. I'm perplexed!

This Costco is very well made, the staff was super nice (at the pharmacy and the Costco).
I got a bag of chips but there was a big rip in it and the people at the cash registers quickly gave me a replacement ?.
I highly recommend this Costco and there is a very wide variety of everything and wait time is super low even at the busiest times.

The same as any other Costco, with the highlights being free samples on the weekend, and the 1.50$ hotdog and drink combo. Fries are great, and if you haven't been before, they sell a lot of bulk items. However, they no longer have the best deals, even when bought in bulk. Make sure you check the unit price on bulk items because you may be better off at Walmart

I agree with some other review here.
5 stars to the store, clean, lots of choices, awesome; as well as the staff are friendly and helpful overall.
1 star to the employee with name tag Alex. I was in a hurry and this is a different store, that I usually go to, so asked Alex where one item was, to find it fast and leave. His response was the most unusual I’ve ever heard. He said “I don’t know, maybe there, I’m from Ukraine” and pointed to few directions as he spoke to me with his heavy accent.
Why do I need to know where the employee is from? I need him to help me in the store where I am paying membership fees and spending my money!
Is there any training employees need in order to be hired at Costco stores, to know how to treat and serve customers?

Had a really disappointing experience at Costco today with a return. I went in with the goods and the original receipts, thinking it’d be a simple process. Instead, the employees pulled up my purchases from this year only and told me I'd already returned, so they couldn’t process it.
They didn’t look at the goods or the receipts I brought—just saw a total count of returns and shut me down without explanation. When I asked them to double-check, both the male and female staff members were impatient and unhelpful, just saying there was "nothing they could do." After I insisted they look further back in my purchase history, they finally realized there was no issue and processed the return.
After years of membership, this experience has seriously made me question Costco’s commitment to customer care.

While most departments in Costco are 5 star, their optical lab is bargain basement. Despite a significant surcharge if we keep our old frames, their service is abysmal. They have broken one of my frames and offered no compensation. They bent another frame so badly that it kept sliding down my nose, and broke a couple months later. The message I sent to Costco management got no reply.
