Great place to shop, lots of selection and very helpful buy gave us plenty of space to explore and try out the furniture. Delivery was amazing as well. Very happy with my purchase.

Sepideh allowed us to explore the store without being overbearing, which tends to happen in furniture stores. She was nearby to answer any questions and stayed patient with us as we jumped between 3 different options before completing the sale. Update: Just received a call that our sofa would have to be back ordered and wouldn't be available until January or February. Had to cancel the order, and unfortunately, there was no offer of any kind to entice us to remain as customers. Update update: Sepideh reached out to me, and they are trying to rectify the situation. That is great customer service. Thank you Sepideh?

After waiting months to get our couch and chair we had a problem with a bent leg on our chair, which after a call to customer service it was taken care.
We have had the set now for about 3 weeks and have noticed that the material on the chair is starting puddle on the seat cushion. I would expect this to happen after a few years of wear, not 3 weeks later. I am not impressed with quality since it cost quit a lot of money.
This is the second couch set purchased from the Chesterfield Shop, but it will be most likely the last. I have already made a complaint about the chair leg and now I will have address this cushion problem. Everything costs twice as much these days but the quality seems to be getting worse.

My wife and I were in the market to get a couch that had a pull out bed feature. We had never shopped at this store before, but the company has been in business since 1948, so we thought, they must be doing something right and decided to go to the Newmarket location. When we came to the store, Ryan, the salesperson was very accommodating and knowledgeable. He directed us to the right couch at the right price. Sold. My wife and I noticed a green chair that we liked but it was $1700. We decided to purchase it because of the savings on the couch. I made the down payment and we were told about 3 months until delivery. The couch came first and it was delivered. Delivery guys did a great job. The green chair came about a week later and I went to the store to pick it up. I brought the chair home and we took it out of the box, unzipped the leg storage pouch underneath, and took legs to screw them in to the bottom of the chair BUT there were no holes to screw the legs in - my whole family did a thorough job trying to find a hole but there were none. I called the store and the owner was very kind and said that we could return the chair and they would give us the store demo chair until we had this situation resolved. Ryan, personally came out to our house and dropped the demo chair and looked at our new chair and could clearly see that there were no holes. He turned the demo chair right side up to show us what our new chair was missing and should look like. He assured us that the issue would be corrected once we contacted Jenny, the Director of Administration and Logistics. I spoke with Jenny and she told me that the chair was coming to the downtown warehouse and that she would inspect it. She later emailed me a picture of the exact looking chair with legs screwed in and told me that the holes were drilled and that they were hidden under the dust cover. This was not true - we checked under the dust cover and everywhere else - there is only so much room in the area the leg needs be screwed - my whole family + the sales person could not see any holes. I told Jenny this and she came back telling me that we were wrong - so another words, she was calling me, my family and the salesperson liars. It just went down hill from there. Jenny offered us $152 off the demo chair and continued to to tell me that we were in the wrong. I felt that was a slap in the face. I asked for a refund but was denied because the chair was custom made for us. So, we cannot get a full refund for the chair but can get a $153 off the used chair? Brutal. I told her that all I wanted was her to take the chair back and fix it while we kept the demo in the meantime but that is not what she ended up doing. She ordered us a whole new chair that would take 3 more months to get. I asked her, why would you do that if the chair, as you say, ""has the holes drilled? Why not just send it back and pick the demo chair and give us a discount for putting us through this unneeded stress? She finally agrees to do this and I go and pick it up. Ryan and I look it over and i see that the legs are a different color form the demo and the one we originally ordered. I took the legs from the demo and screwed them in to the chair sent back and went on my way.
Please understand, my poor review is not for the store or its staff. The owner and Ryan, the sales person did a fantastic job in accommodating us. Jenny, The Director of Administration and Logistics was a nightmare and she should not be working in customer service. She was very rude and a poor representation of the Chesterfield Shop. I know that this type of thing happens - it was my turn, however, when these type of situations have happened to be in the past it was resolved by good customer service and understanding on both sides. Jenny, had none of these qualities and because of Jenny, I will never shop at the Chesterfield Shop ever again.

We recently shopped here for the first time while searching for a chair. The store has an execllent inventory of merchandise which was very much aligned with our own tastes.
Good atmosphere, and without a hoard of eager sales people waiting to pounce on you as you enter or follow you around as you shop. Welcoming and relaxed.
We dealt with Jane, who was very knowledgeable and attentive without being pushy. She looked after us in a highly professional but friendly manner, and worked hard to help us understand the products, various fabric options, pricing, and current promotions etc.
We were advised of a ten week delivery on our new chair, so I'll update this review at that time to include how well the store lives up to its commitments.
Overall a very pleasant shopping experience. We expect to return for other items.

My husband and I needed a sofa for a showing we had the next day and Sepideh went out of her way to make sure that we got the couch that day. Including helping us load it in the van. She was great, I reccomend her very highly.

My husband and I had been looking for a sofa bed for the last few months. We found the Chesterfield shop in Newmarket. What a great selection they had! And very high quality furniture like Palliser. We were served by Karen. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. Any questions we asked she was able to answer. She was very pleasant to deal and not pushy. We would definitely recommend this store. They know their stuff. They've been in business since 1948!

I had an excellent experience shopping at the Chesterfield Shop in Newmarket. Jane was extremely helpful in showing me a variety of sofa beds, and choosing fabric to suit my decor. The sofa was delivered within the specified time frame by friendly and efficient movers. I am very happy with my new sofa!
