My experience with this company was not favorable. Writing this review so customers are aware going in. We found the advertisement online which stated 6 plus doors and install would be 50% off per door. That part was true. However the staff refused to quote or provide a basic estimate over the phone. A representative is then sent into the house to take measurements only. You are then asked to drive to their store and sit down with a sales rep. No estimate or options for an estimate was provided prior to going in. When going into the sales office their quote include paint, door, and install. They quoted us over $4600 for 8 doors. That is an absolute rip off. Do not fall for the 50% off each door sales tactics. It was a complete rip off, a waste of gas and time. The staff on the phone had great customer service and friendly but provided no idea and what the estimate would cost was a waste of time. Never once was it an option to get an estimate ahead of time despite asking for the information.

Can't praise Nick, Robyn and the rest of crew enough! I was looking to replace all the doors and closets in my home and the team at Grinyer made it a very smooth and pleasant experience. Communication was fantastic, lead times were as projected with install and final products being efficient and to my extreme satisfaction, respectively. Thanks Guys!

We just had our closet doors installed and I cannot be more thrilled. They are so beautiful and really elevate our space. Everything from the showroom visit to booking a measurement visit to installation was well communicated and happened exactly as explained.
You are always able to reach someone if you have questions.
We want to replace our interior doors in tne future and I will definitely be coming back to Grinyer. Absolutely thrilled.

We were looking for a local closet door manufacture and based on what we saw on their website decided to have Grinyer do the job. We have three closets in our industrial loft. I have photographed two. The third is a mirrored by pass at our entry that looks and works amazing. Take my word for it. The other two required considerable thought and attention. There were structural issues that the Grinyer team advised us about. They came up with a brilliant solution. One thing became clear, they have a lot of integrity. The result is two very happy customers.

I had Grinyer install all new closets and glass sliding closet doors in my home 5 years ago, the wheels on the one door were lost by my painter when removed and Grinyer supplied replacement wheels at no cost. What great service !

Doors are lovely, but we were left with additional work when done.We had Grinyer replace 11 doors in our home. Communication throughout the process was minimal and somewhat unclear. The doors themselves are beautiful but our installation team and sales service were disappointing. Installation team left multiple dents/scratches in our newly painted walls, along with wood debris throughout our carpet. Our barn door was installed on the wrong side of a passageway, leaving large holes in a concrete wall. Many of the doors did not fit right. It took multiple follow-ups with the sales team to have corrective action in place. Thankfully the owner and lead installer were able to come and reinstall the doors. They now fit perfectly, as expected. They were very apologetic and addressed many of our concerns. Customer experience seems to depend on who you deal with.Updated to 4 stars from 3. Issues were resolved in a timely manner. Thank you for your assistance and communication Larry!

I called Grinyer and asked for the cost of a standard door size solid core door (80" x 30") since there was a posted price for a hollow door on their website and the person answering the phones (I believe her name is Robyn) said she was unable to give the pricing over the phone and had to schedule an appointment in order to get pricing. I honestly found this odd as no one's ever asked me to make an appointment just to get a price on a door. So, I asked to speak to a salesperson and yet despite hearing staff around her talking about products, she said no one is available or on-site at the moment. I reiterated it was simply to price out a standard door, she doubled down and said that she does not give pricing over the phone, even though many prices were already posted on their website. She told me to email if I wanted to see if they could help me that way. After not hearing them after after a few days of sending the email, I called her back and she found my email very quickly, which I found odd as she said she saw it (but didn't respond to it?) so I humoured her and just asked to schedule an appointment. It is quite unbelievable what she told me next...Her earliest appointment was 3 weeks to schedule an on-site appointment at the house, with yet another MANDATORY appointment a couple of weeks after that, where I had to come into their showroom to speak with a salesperson face-to-face (I would assume to press their sale strategies on you IMHO), with an absolutely ridiculous estimated delivery time 4 months from now--delivery in <possibly> June sometime, despite starting the process in early February???When I asked how they can run an effective, client focused business with such an unreasonable turnaround time and she replied quite disrespectfully and in such nauseating vocal fry (like how insufferable teenage girls speak), "We actually do very well for ourselves". That's not quite what I asked but when people answer like that you know the type of company you're dealing with. Now I've read the reviews and I wonder how many of these positive reviews knew they could possibly get faster and cheaper service/supplies, with less high-pressure sales tactics, IMO, if they just contacted a renovation store who also supplies doors they would probably get the no frills/quick service they needed. Goodness knows I don't need to be taken on such an extensive and unnecessary journey when all I want is to price and buy a door. The negative reviews I've read and the experiences these Reviewers had, echo exactly my complaint here and now I fully understand their gripes. Once thing that would improve the whole experience is maybe getting a person handling the client phone calls who doesn't sound like you're inconveniencing her when you ask simple, no nonsense questions.I contacted a number of other companies just after contacting Grinyer and got door pricing immediately as I asked over the phone and I didn't need to make an unnecessary in-person appointment to measure a doorway I knew was standard and didn't get forced to go all the way to Vaughan a couple of weeks later to have to speak to someone in person face to face for a sales pitch, JUST TO GET THE PRICE OF THE DOOR!While most of these other places I called had a 3-week delivery turnaround time (NOT 4 MONTHS), which I found to be industry standard, I was fortunate enough to find the exact solid-core doors I wanted, at the same price as this company's posted hollow core door and was available for pick-up ON THE SAME DAY I CALLED!Do yourselves a favour and please do your research. This company and it's superfluous steps, just for you to jump through so many hoops to get a price is totally unnecessary and NOT industry standard. IMHO, it's just planned optics of being a one in a million door supplier with these extra steps and mandatory visits, when all you need is to contact one of many renovation stores to get the same product the same price or cheaper and definitely with a turnaround in D

I recently worked with Grinyer, and I'm beyond impressed. We had a big project and Larry, the owner, went above and beyond our contract agreement. Not only did he upgrade some of the hinges at his expense, but he also addressed a lot of time consuming and labor intensive deficiencies from a previous contractors installations. The attention to detail displayed by Larry and his team was exceptional. From our initial meeting to the final installation, the care and precision were evident.Larry is dedicated to customer satisfaction and he stayed on top of project to make sure the installation of finished quality is picture perfect. If you're looking for a door company that delivers top-notch craftsmanship, personalized service, and goes beyond the contract to ensure customer satisfaction, Grinyer is the way to go. Larry and his team exceeded my expectations, making the process enjoyable. 5 stars!

Purchased new sliding doors for my front hall. So light compared to my previous closet doors. Makes my entrance way much brighter and looks larger. Very pleased with my purchase.

This is a FULL SERVICE door company! From consultation, door selection, measurements (we had sloping irregular frames that were very specific fits), painting them in advance, and door removal and installation. The process couldn't have been easier. The Grinyer team removed and installed 7(!!) doors in 2 hours! The installation team was friendly, professional, and efficient. Highly recommended!
