I am really hoping someone at Tootsie’s Head Office reads this review as you will recognize my name and believe me I am not happy to be doing this post as I know the calibre of people that own this company. We were doing some shopping at the Tootsies Kingston location and it was exactly 455 on my iPhone and as I walked towards the door. The lady with black hair, I’m thinking she’s a manager, started to bolt for the door to lock it.I got to the door a little quicker than her and reminded her that it was only 455 and I understood that they close at five and I would totally respect that…and she replied with “my system will shut me out in two more minutes.”It was still 4:58 and we were on the way out the door. My wife wanted to see what colour of blundstones I was looking at as they were right by the front door. My wife grabbed a pair of random flip flops for our hotel and the lady proceeded to open the door and hold it open while we were looking at the Blundstones as if to say ‘get out’.I can’t help but think of my father, Armand Talarico, and what he would’ve done if a manager tried to lock a door at 4:55 when a store closed at five and then proceeded to rush us out the door and have a bad attitude on top of it all. No thank you or good night. Rude. The lights were off before we even got in our vehicle.I would be glad to take down this negative review if we receive a small apology from this lady, as I think very highly of the people that run this company, and she is reflecting very poorly on them.

Great selection, great service and easy access from Hwy 401.Many staff offering help to find sizes and answer questions.Amazing find of these sandals from Reef--never heard of this brand. Incredibly comfortable after wearing the whole day. Definitely can attest to the product tag "Ridiculously Comfortable"

The staff were new and friendly but very unaware of what they have in store.I went in with my mother who was looking for a particular type shoe that was advertised.With a look around we were unable to find them so asked for help in locating these shoes. The new staff was unsure so asked the manager on duty who said they didn't have them and to Google where might have them in town.Not overly helpful.As we were walking out there was a small display of said shoes.The manager seemed irritated that she needed to climb behind to try and look for sizes.Luckily my mother found size that works.For dropping over $200 on a pair , I can say I would be going else where first with more customer appreciation for shopping in store.

The staff were extremely over bearing with following every foot step made they asked 4 times in a 2 min span of being in there if I needed help even after responding I was just looking .. they treated me and my father as if we had no business being in that store almost like we had stolen or something my guess based on our appearance .. so we left the store without barely looking du to the over whelming stares and lack of ability to be able to look otherwise the store is great!

There's a lot of selection at this store, prices seemed to range around $60 - $200+ so it's not exactly inexpensive but there are lower range options. I did find a pair of boots that weren't exactly what I was looking for but good enough. The sales person was not overly friendly and actually somewhat insulting insinuating a pair of shoes would be too narrow for me. The cashier was even less friendly - I'm not sure she even said a word to me, despite me saying hello and thank you before I left. I'll probably choose to go elsewhere in town because I prefer to support businesses with friendly staff.

This week I treated myself to Pearl Blundstones but had trouble getting them off and in due to a back issue. Today I went back to see if I could exchange into unisex ones as I know they work for me. The two ladies working today had a better solution….I walked out with 1/2 size bigger and a boot remover! Excellent!!
