I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at this lab. I visited yesterday at 3:30 pm for blood work and was told I needed a confirmation paper from Service Ontario since I had lost my health card. I got the paper and returned today, again at 3:30 pm. I was the only patient there, and there was no one at the front desk for 10 minutes before the girl arrived. After she reviewed the paper, she told me it would take too long to enter my information into their system because I didn’t have the physical card. She suggested I come back tomorrow, even though there were still 20 minutes left until closing time.
Frustrated, I went to another clinic afterward. There, despite waiting behind five other patients, the front desk entered my information in less than two minutes, and my entire visit, including the blood work, was done in under 15 minutes. When I asked the nurse there about it, she confirmed that the paper I provided was sufficient and that entering the information shouldn’t have taken much time at all.
This experience was frustrating and completely unacceptable. I hope the management takes note and considers providing better training or upgrading their system to avoid inconveniencing other patients in the future.

I just went here yesterday. I was looking for a lab with good reviews because in the past I've had 2 traumatic experiences with getting blood work done, one at St. Joe's and one on Mountain Avenue Stoney Creek where they made my arm bleed so much and was black and blue next day.
I explained my fear to the nurse at Med Health, and let me tell you this is by far THE BEST! place I have ever experienced getting blood work done. From the front desk to getting blood work everyone is so friendly and nice there and make you feel really comfortable. The young nurse who took my blood was excellent!! Thank you sooo much for making this experience pain free and super quick. I was really nervous going in, but really happy coming out that I found this gem. It really is by far the best place to get your blood work done pain free. This is my spot now if I ever need to go back.

This lab is truly the best!! When you book an appointment you are seen in a timely manner. The staff are very kind and courteous. The rooms are clean. I would recommend this lab over any Life Labs!

I was here today at 1025h. No one greeted you to sign up. A staff member saw waiting at the counter but ignored me. Poor service. Not coming back here ever.

I went today with my 88 year old mother as i had been there numerous times before and knew there usually no line ups. True to my word there was no one in waiting room and one patient having blood taken. She proceeded to have her blood drawn within 15 minutes i would say and we left. While in the parking lot I noticed that my mums sweater had blood on it. We could not figure out where it was coming from after taking the sweater off so decided to return to blood lab. The technician took her back to the room as i waited in waiting room and i could hear my mum asking questions. She was by the way on blood thinners.
She questioned this black mark on vein that was where blood was taken from and did not seem to get a concrete answer. This is when i intervened. Not being a blood expert my self i too inquired. Was told it was a blood clot . I asked what causes that and was told that was not her problem but hers (meaning my mum) I must say that trigged some emotions in me as i felt it was in no way indicative of a professional. It occurs to me why there is never a line up.
Will not be using this lab again, there is plenty in Hamilton. I feel

Usually I always go to LifeLabs on Wilson Street, today I decided to try this lab as I heard good things about it. LifeLabs has never once made a fuss about showing them my health card. I forgot mine at home and the receptionist turned me away. Save your time and just go to LifeLabs on Wilson. They offer amazing and fast service.

Let me see here, how can I put this without having it removed. Had no choice to give 1 star because they don't have anything lower. Now to be clear this is not in anyway directed to those who work there, for I never got to see anyone. Because at 11.25am when I arrived I was in informed that I could not be seen for they close at noon, for they still had 4/5 people waiting to be seen to.
Now, what I upset me here is this. If posted hrs 8am till 12pm, how can you tell people their closed at 1130am because you have 4/5 people waiting. If you post closing hr at a certain time then stand by it. When closing time arrives lock the door, lock after your patients, and call it a day.
Maybe they should change their hrs to, 8am till 12pm, no arrivals after 11am. Chance of S.O.L possible.

I'm simply shocked. I was there for the first time and it took me 10 minutes to collect blood. Very nice and professional ladies taking blood.

I just went the other day for bloodwork and I do get nervous because of my history of blown veins and other places having issues finding the right vessles in my arm. The staff were quick, professional, and I have zero bruising and no discomfort! I will absolutely be using this lab for everything i need to in the future!

I went in March 4th 2024 at 11:50 am.. The front desk receptionist “Vella” I couldn’t understand what she said her name was. An older Asian lady with black hair in a pony tail. I went in to get my blood taken and she was insulting and very rude. I’ve been to this location twice and never had this experience that I did today. She had an attitude and raised her voice at me with my young son there. I won’t be returning to this location again.

Had blood work done for my daughter. They never send the results to my doctor’s office. After one month the doctor had to call and request the results. This is not only inconvenient but very concerning. My daughter ended having some abnormal results that needed to be followed up

Booked an appointment for 1 pm, got there and they were closed for lunch for an hour? Why would you put 1 pm as an available slot to book an appointment if you are going to go on lunch? Very unprofessional and I took time out of work to do this bloodwork.
